Continued flashback

I woke up with a pounding headache, the world around me was slightly fuzzy and I felt dizzy and sick. My body was cold and looking down at myself, I noticed the sheets had parted down my torso. I quickly assessed the situation and suddenly, I was out of bed; fidgeting to find all of my clothes. I obviously woke up the sleeping party next to me, as he groaned and looked around the room.

"What time is it?" The voice drifted over to my ears, I looked around the room for my shirt. I was slightly ignoring the question. "Mattie, what time is it?"

I turned around, my face flushed with far too many emotions to count, "I don't know, it's about nine in the morning. I have to go." I continued my search for my clothing, throwing things on and shoving them further down my body. "Where the hell is my jacket ... I know it was here last night."

"Where are you going? Can't you stay a little bit more, just come back to bed and cuddle with me."

The moment had passed, now that I was sober the last thing I wanted to do was lay in bed with some random guy I had just met. I slipped up, I knew that now. What would Morgan think if he saw this? I'm such an awful person.

"I'm sorry, uh, you. I have to go, I really do. I shouldn't have done this. Morgan would be so upset right now, you don't even know. I need to go, goodbye."

I opened the hotel door, knowing full well this was my room but I needed to get out, I needed to go see Jenny. I heard him yell something out the door, but I was already walking down the hallway. I knew she probably didn't want to see me right now, especially the night after her wedding, but I needed to talk to someone.

I stopped at her door, the big golden letters spelling out Honeymoon Suite stared back at me. Should I be doing this right now? I was freaking out, shaking slightly as I pounded on the thick wooden door. I knew I shouldn't be doing this, would she be mad at me?

The door opened a crack, Julian was staring at me; his eyes bloodshot and his hands running through his hair. He smiled slightly at me, but it left as soon as I started crying, "Mattie ... what's wrong?" He opened the door fully and ushered me in, tears falling all over the place.

I sat on the bench by the bathroom, Julian sat next to me, wrapping his arm around me, bringing my head into his chest, I could feel the skin getting wet. He just sat there with me, asking me what was wrong. I couldn't talk, I couldn't handle this right now.

"Julian, what is going on out there? Are you crying, I know we're married now, but is it really that bad?" Jenny opened the bathroom door, startled slightly at the sight of me sitting there, "Mattie ... what happened?" She rushed to me, kneeling in front of me and wiping my eyes with a Kleenex, "What are you crying for?"

I tried to speak, but the words weren't coming out. I felt like I betrayed everyone by sleeping with that guy, I feel like I put a bullet through their hearts. "I...I..." I started crying even harder, |Julian pressed down harder, resting his head on mine.

"Mattie, it's okay. What happened? Why are you so upset?"

"I...I... cheated on Morgan last night." The words stumbled out of my mouth, I looked at both of them, expecting them to be super mad with me or something. They were both quiet, looking at each other. Well that's great, not only did I cheat on Morgan, I pissed off his sister and his best friend,

"Mattie ... Morgan's been gone for five years. There is no way you cheated on him, baby. What happened that made you think like this? Who did you sleep with?"

I looked around the room, I couldn't handle this situation. But the look from Jenny made me feel a little better. I took a few shallow breathes and looked her in the eyes, "Some guy named Myles."

What happened next I was not prepared for, Jenny started laughing, holding her gut as she moved away from me, gripping the side of the wall for support, "Wait, wait ... you slept with Myles. Myles Summers?" She started laughing harder, "Mattie, you're going to get through this entire family by the time you're done."

I furrowed my eyebrows, wiping the remaining tears from my eyes, "I know, alright. I accidentally slept with your cousin, why is this such a big deal? Do you know how much punch I had last night? I was drunk, he was drunk and it happened. I'm sorry."

She just laughed harder, gripping her sides, "That's so awesome. I love Myles, you two are so set for life. Why are you so upset then? Also, where is Myles if you're here?"

"I left him in my room." I quietly spoke, red flames making their way up my face, hitting my ears. "Why is this so funny?"

Jenny just wrapped an arm around me, "Mattie, Morgan would want you to be happy. He's up there looking down at you, smiling because you found someone. Don't let this go to waste, alright? You aren't hurting him anymore, he wants you to move on, he wants you to be as happy as possible. You had true love with him, but that doesn't mean you can't find true love with someone else. If anyone is perfect for that role, it'll be Myles."

I was about to speak when a knock at the door startled me. Jenny opened the door and standing there was Myles.

"Hey. Do you guys mind if I have a word with Mattieboy here?"
