"It's painful if I can only see you in a dream."

: 3 Years Later :Usually people say it takes time to heal and unlike most heartbroken people, Sanae had already healed. She was rejuvenated, new, and ready to conquer. This Sanae was stronger — mentally and physically. Though, she was still the gentle girl from day one, she wasn't a doormat, she knew how to speak up for herself.
She was confident.
She was growing.
And now, at age sixteen, she was even more beautiful than any other female in Konoha.
The classic pigtails were scrapped, her shoulder-length hair was now down to the mid of her back. She wore ruby coloured pins that held her bangs out of her face.
Her new attire consisted of a loose-fitted red top, lantern sleeves ending at her wrists. Her pants were tightly-fitted black leggings that ended at the mid of her thighs. Her kunai pouch was bound to her left leg, classic black shinobi sandals as her footwear. And of course, her white shinobi headband tied loosely around her neck.
But... she was still short. It frustrated her. Everyone was growing taller. Sanae swore she was shrinking.
Yet, she was in a better mental state.
She was happy.

: 2 Years Ago :"Sanae," Her mother's muffled voice from the other side of her door stirred her sleep. She debated on replying, feeling her eyes shut, she let it be.
Laying under a tree, young Sanae and Sasuke basked in the warmth, the gentle breeze that swung by every now and then lulling them into peaceful slumber.
The young Asa awoke from from someone shaking her.
"Sanae-chan," She heard. "Wake up! The sun's setting!"
The voice was warm... familiar. Sasuke's voice. It enveloped her in a state of tranquility, blinking her eyes open. Except, she wasn't where she remembered going to sleep.... and Sasuke wasn't there.
She was in the Uchiha Compound. It was empty. Lonely. Sanae took slow steps, wandering around the deserted compound. In the corner of her eye, she saw a glimpse of Sasuke's black shirt.
"Sasuke...?" She whispered, running in that direction.
The young girl ran into foreign alleyways, seeming too slow to catch up to him. Like always.
"Sasuke!" She called, "Wait!"
Turning a corner, she wasn't expecting what would come.
