♡ Day 2 ♡
⇢The suspense had been killing me. My mother still had the envelop and Here was I staring at a brick ball. Instead of looking forward to finding the envelop all morning I had been walking in room. Until my sister had told me to go outside. That's exactly what I did.
Who knew the sun would offer such beauty but also hold so much grim. Minutes after exiting the house the sky became a deathly heaven. The blue skies turned into shadows and the once shining sun just wasn't there anymore. The shadows began to mockingly laugh at the ones before. Evil eyes were shot at me making me coward underneath my safe haven. I sat on the bench waiting for the tears to calm down.
Alongside me sat a man in black. He was covered in black and dried raindrops. The man in black seemed to be oblivious on what was happening. It was like he was in his own little world. his green eyes bore into the slightly cracked concrete. I decided to let him know his boots were getting dank and muddy. Due to him swaying his long and slender legs. In response, his head snapped to my direction which had gotten me a bit uneasy.
"Your boots are getting wet." I obviously stated. The man seemed to not like my statement.
"I know." His voice was a bit hoarse like if he had been crying. Though his eyes weren't bloodshot like you'd expect it to be. Unsure of pointing that out I stared at the cars eagerly rushing from block to block. Holding back rambles and nonsense I bit my lip. But then again biting your lip doesn't always work.
"Have you been crying?"
"No, I've aten to much chili chips." He said in the most straightest face. For some reason I found his reply hilarious. If one could laugh in their heads without making any strange faces it will be Gods blessing.
"Are you alright?" All I could do was harshly nod at him.
"Harold." He stuck out his massive hand for me to shake.
"Janine." The exchange between names were the last words spoken. A few minutes had passed by when a city bus had stopped in front of us two. It was either stay here in the pouring cold or hitch a ride and see where it takes me.
Harold stood aside as I walked in the bus and gave in my change. There wasn't much to do other than see who comes in until the sun sets and I've figured a plan.
----------------------------------------- ♡ --------------------------------------------
After three hours on the bus Harold sat across me. Every once in awhile he would take glances then stare at the road. Not that I didn't mind his company its just that he hasn't uttered a word. Keeping silence wasn't what I do best more like rambling on and on. I would fiddle my fingers just as he did. He would chew on his lip then lick them afterwards. Seemed like a habit.
We sat in normal silence. Bumps from the cracked roads here and there. Far ahead was my stop by the old New Beginnings Baptist Church. Harold seemed to notice me eagerly watching the bus slow down. We both had stood up at the exact same time making me feel a bit agitated and alarmed.
"Arent you two getting off here?" The driver shouted from the front. I nodded my head. As I walked through the aisle to get off the bus I felt someone walk a bit too close to me. Their breath fanned on my neck making me hurry up my pace.
I jumped off the bus and began speed walking. The day seemed to be cleared up and smiling. Unlike earlier today morning when it was pouring harshly. I turned back to see Harold doing the same exact thing as me. I stopped at the busy curb before turning around in which Harold had bumped into me causing me to fall.
"Why'd you do that?"
"Stop following me," I began. "I-i won't hesitate to call the police!"
As I started taking steps back so did Harold. Does this kid not get it?
