As a kid, Jung Hoseok was scared of the rain.

It was stupid, really. He'd curl up in a blanket as his mother ran her fingers through his hair, attempting to lull him to sleep. But thunder sounded, and he'd jolt back awake.

"Momma,"  he'd say, "when will the rain stop?"

"Soon," she'd say with a smile. "But it will come back again. You have no reason to be scared, sunshine. The rain is a friend of the sun. And you, my dear, are the sun."

It was raining the day Hoseok was pushed into the mud by some elementary school bullies for 'being too ugly'.

It was raining the day he got lost at the amusement park (he found his way back, and the rain stopped).

It was raining the day his parents died in a car crash.

It was raining at the funeral.

And it was raining when he ran away from his quiet, empty house.

Jung Hoseok was still scared of the rain.
