"Don't scream"

My eyes went wide and I began to fling my arms from side to side attempting to hit the culprit. But his long fingers were wrapped around a handkerchief that was pressed against my mouth and nose. Suddenly, my eyes began to feel droopy. I lost all the energy I once had. And it all started. My knees began to shake uncontrollably and I fell onto the ground. The last thing I saw was him about to remove his mask before darkness enveloped me.

**

My head hurt, that was the first thought that ran into my mind. But me thinking about it only made the pain worse. I couldn't move anything, my eyes, my limbs, nothing. With all the energy and force that I could muster, I tried to open my eyes. Only a fraction of an inch did I manage to open them but quickly shut it back. Nonetheless, I managed to do it. And that gave me hope that I could actually open them once more. This is like being a baby once again.

For a few seconds, I've been trying to blink every few seconds, trying to get used to the blinding ligh that came from the corner of the room. It was too bright for my liking and it didn't help that my hands were tied on my back and I couldn't shield myself from it. I hated it. It was irritating.

I began to move my arms and legs, trying to break loose from the rope's tight grasp. For a few minutes I tried moving like a worm. Even managed to remember a few kung fu movies telling the student to be like water or be like air or be like a freaking snake. Bro, I have bones..bones that couldn't be bent at the moment and you want me to be a motherducking snake?

After all the efforts of trying to break free, nothing happened. I was still the girl tied up like a rag doll against a creaky old wooden chair. I thought of breaking the chair but I couldn't.

Then hope flooded my mind as I found one more possible thing to do.

I stared at the glass bottle near me. It was about a foot away. My heart began to thump fast and hard against my chest. My palms were sweaty and my breath became uneven. Hopping a few inches, I aimed at the bottle. With much force, I kicked it and it broke against the walls of the room. The sound echoed around. My eyes shot up from the broken glass to the door.

I prepared myself for the best and for the worst. Footsteps pounded against the concrete floor. It was coming closer, faster than my heart was beating. And suddenly, the door swung open.

A guy with a wound on top of his left eye welcomed me. His eyes piercing through my soul. His mouth like a comb, with gums missing a few teeth here and there. He was scary with his bulky body structure.

I swallowed the lump that formed in my throat. My hands began to shake and so did my legs. He looked like a pirate and it freaked me out..too much.

"Ahh.. So you're awake." he said as he neared me with a devilish smirk.

"What am I doing here?" I made the mistake of speaking as he slapped me across the cheek.

"DID I GIVE YOU PERMISSION TO SPEAK!?" I cried as my cheek stung. Another slap made contact with my face and I cried louder.

"I'M TALKING TO YOU! DID I GIVE YOU THE PERMISSION TO SPEAK!?" I shook my head and looked away.

"GOOD. Don't speak." he smiled and it was even more terrifying than his expressionless face. His smile wasn't welcoming, wasn't nice. It was up to no good.

"You're probably wondering why you're here right?" he asked.

Well no shit Sherlock. I woke up in an abandoned building with you pirate. Of course I wouldn't be wondering.

I nodded.

"You probably know Luke right? Well his family owes me a lot. And let's say, we haven't had any compromisation yet. So, I thought why not now? After all it's been years since it happened. I wouldn't want to wait any longer now would I? I'm impatient, yes, and I guess it could be handy now that I've seen such beauty before me." he grabbed my face but I removed it from his grasp.
