"June!" I could here my mother calling for me from down stairs.I quickly reply with "I'm up!" as I roll  out of my bed.I quickly begin to get dressed.I can here my mother's footsteps marching up the stairway, she peaks into my bedroom "hurry up i can't be late for work" she says with a pause, and then goes back down stairs.I grab my backpack and bolt down the stairway.

I sit down at the kitchen table and lay my backpack down on the floor beside me.My mother looks at me and smiles I can tell she had been drinking last night. She started drinking a lot again after my father was deployed over seas 3 months ago.I look over at the calendar on the refrigerator and realized it's the last day of school.

My mother walks over to me and hands me a bowl of cereal, "eat it's the most important meal of the day" she says as she hands me a spoon."I don't feel like eating" I say putting my backpack in the chair next to me.She looks over at me with a confused facial expression.I could tell she was to tired to argue, she just nodded her head and walked into the living room.

My mom walked back into the kitchen with her purse in her hand and glanced at the clock on the wall "grab your backpack it's time to go" she says. I grab my backpack and begin to walk out the door.Hopefully it will be a good day today but I can only hope.
