Just before my omnipod went off I was running around the field with Thor weaving in between my legs every so often minding my own business with the biggest smile on my face but then came an agonizing shrill of an continuous alarm sound I groaned and turned over to my night stand to turn the light on as it was still dark, and mentally groaned when I saw my clock in my peripheral vision 2:30 in the morning? I then proceeded to grab my omnipod PDM and see that my omnipod is failing, I sighed 'isn't this just fantastic?'I thought to my self before I hauled myself out of bed and towards my parents room, now I know what you're thinking why don't you just change it yourself? Well in these situations where it fails in the middle of the night my parents prefer that I wake them up Because the last time I tried to do it my self at night I ended up doing it wrong and we had to change it again the following morning.

I walked into my parents room to see my dad up with a sniffling Reese in his arms.she must've had a bad dream."Hey dad  I need help replacing my pod I can hold Reese while you do it" my dad simply handed me Reese and walked into the bathroom to get the stuff ready to replace the pod I followed him in with a half asleep Reese on my shoulder I kissed her forehead before I hauled both myself and her onto the counter. "So are you excited for the move tomorrow?''I sighed i know what he is doing he's trying to distract me before he rips it off "not really but I hope I'll be able to make at least one friend." I was never good at making friends i was always the shy type and preferred to keep to myself I only had on friend here in Texas but she became popular and started spreading rumors about me so I guess you can say that friendship didn't end very well. so now I find it harder to trust people.  while i was thinking my dad ripped the pod off and i felt the small needle come out of my skin. I winced at the slight pain that came with it but shrugged it off." So where are we putting it this time?" I thought about it before I answered "uh can you put it on my left leg please" my dad nodded before getting the omnipod ready, after he finished getting it ready he applied the adhesive part onto my leg before handing me the device so i could press the button while he squeezes the fat of my leg.(this is supposed to neutralize some of the slight pain) "Okay so on the count of three." i nodded "one...two...three" i pressed the button and I felt the needle enter my skin it hurt but, I was beyond used to this pain already. "There you go bud all set." I hopped off the counter carefully seeing as Reese was still sleeping in my arms. "Hey Z can you do me a favor and put Reese in her room?" "Yeah of course dad." my dad let out a long yawn "Thanks Z goodnight" "Night dad" I made my way out of the room and towards Reese's room I walked in and before I set her down on her bed she woke up. "Zachy I don't want to sleep in here by myself" "Why not Reese?" she looked around before whispering something in my ear "there's monsters in here Zachy" oh that why she doesn't want to be by herself "Well than I guess I am going to have to camp out in here for the night huh?" Reese giggled before nodding "Well than I guess we are going to have to make a quick detour to my room to get some supplies huh?" she nodded I quietly made my way to my room with Reese tucked securely in my arms. after I gathered my blankets and pillows from my room I walked back to Reese's room and set her on her bed then climbed in slowly after her, I held her in my arms to ensure her that I wasn't going anywhere "Hey Zachy?" I  hummed in response to say I was paying attention "Does it hurt when you have to change your thingy" she asked gesturing towards the pump on my leg "Well it used to but I'm used to it now, but we can't stay up all night Reese we have a lot to do tomorrow" "Okay but I have one more question then I'll go to sleep" I felt like I already knew what she was going to ask considering she asks me every night. "Can you sing to me?" "Sure Reese what song?" "Our song!" "Which one?""My favorite one!" I nod before fixing us into a more comfortable position before starting.
