Demi's POV

"I shouldn't be more than an hour, are they okay?" I stressed over the phone to Justin for the tenth time since leaving the twins at home with him.

"Have you no faith in me? They're fine, stop worrying." Justin replied as I could hear him shuffling around.

"I'm sorry. Look, I'm just not used to leaving them. Okay, I won't call again! I'll see you when I get home." I sighed as stepped out of my Bentley and grabbed my purse.

"Alright baby, I'll see you then. Love you."

"I love you too, Justin." I said softly before hanging up and looking both ways before crossing the rode. Guilt kicked at the white lie I had just told Justin.

Don't get me wrong, I did in fact need to grab supplies for the Halloween party we were throwing at the club but I left out the little details of meeting my uncle who was also my financial advisor. Reason being is that Justin has pushed aside any talks off me opening my own store and honestly I think it was unfair. I didn't attend college for three years. It was my dream to have my own designer label and own my own store. When I ran away after the incident, I didn't choose Paris for no reason, I chose it because I attended one of the best fashion schools in the world and not to mention I did internships at some of the biggest brand names. It was about time I put my knowledge and money to use.

I spotted uncle Joey who was a six foot tall Morgan Freeman look-a-like who worked alongside my father for so many years. No he wasn't blood related, but I considered him my uncle anyway.

"My darling Demi, you're as beautiful as I remember," he smiled, showing off his blindingly white teeth.

"Uncle Joey, it's so good to see you." I mumbled as we embraced in a long overdue hug.

"Oh how good it is to see you, it's been far too long. Tell me, how've you been?" he rambled on as he helped me into my seat and motioned the waiter over.

"Everything has been amazing Uncle, the year alone has been the best I've had in a long time. I can't wait for you to meet my husband and sons."

"My beautiful girl, your father would be so proud of you right now. I'm so sorry I couldn't make it to the wedding, your husband tried everything he could to get me there but unfortunately I had a big crisis in Monaco that needed my attention."

"That's okay, the gifts you sent made up for it!" I giggled, remembering the two Picasso pieces he sent as a wedding gift.

"You're most welcome, my dear. Now tell me what are we looking at, setting up?" he smiled as he pulled out his reading glasses on and grabbed a little notepad and pen.

Joey managed all my finances and any financial decisions I made, I didn't make any large purchases without his consent.

"I want to start investing Uncle, I want to start putting money into stocks, markets and I want you solely in charge of it."

"Demi, your father sold all his assets when he was dying so you would have more than enough money for you to survive five lifetimes over, are you sure you want to get back into this world?" he asked, a little sceptical.

"I'm sure Uncle, but there's a catch. I want it all to be put in Justin's name. Anything we make from the stocks, investments, et cetera. I want it to go straight to Justin." I assured him waiting for a lecture to come.

"Oh my darling Demi, I know exactly what you're doing and I can't say I blame you. In fact, I applaud you for doing your all to get him out of that life." he told me sincerely as he held my hand from across the table.
