Your best friend was turning 21 in about a week and you just found out that she was planning a party for herself, she has always been a last minute type of girl. You knew no ordinary gift would work for a best friend's 21st birthday, it had to be big and over the top. If only that BTS concert she kept going on about wasn't sold out and more local, nothing could out do that and she would go insane.

Talking on the phone with a group of friends was not helping at all, trying to get ideas for what you could for her and no one really having anything to go with. You had told them your thoughts on the concert after hearing her going on about them at work, you didn't really know much about them or understand the hype but you were willing to give it a go for your bestie.

"Hey, wait I know someone who just went to Korea for an internship. Didn't you say they were South Korean?" Your oldest friend from high school decides to chime in right before you all end the call.

"Yeah, I think that's what she said." You reply, not really getting hopeful.

"Well she is doing an internship for a music place in South Korea, I can ask her what she knows, maybe she can at least guide you in a direction of hope if nothing else." Your friend begins making music to your ears.

"Oh my god! Thank you so much! I owe you big time for this!" You say excited as you write down the phone number and end the call.

Before you can even move, you are on the dial pad of your phone typing in the number your friend had given you. This had to work or at least help, there was no time for anything else and this had to be a big deal. You close your eyes and look up to the ceiling begging for someone to pick up the line, finally a voicemail message rings in your ear and quickly give your information and request and end the call.

You decided to do some research on this group and at least have a little knowledge under your belt in case there was a concert to attend later. Looking through photos and trying to learn names with faces, you see one who catches your eyes and you immediately click on his photo to find out more about him. Kim Namjoon, he was 24 and he could speak great English, he had the cutest smile you had ever seen, and he had a great voice. He definitely stood out beyond the others in the group to you and you even felt yourself slipping into the hype of this group.

You were just drifting off when the vibration of your phone startled you back to life and you answered it quickly realizing the number you called getting back to you. She so nice and so helpful and kind to you and after about 20 minutes of conversation you had found out she was doing her internship at the company that BTS worked for. You were so bummed when she told you that all of their allowances for tickets had been used up already unless you wanted to travel to Korea, which wasn't realistic at all. The girl did offer up something that could be just as good or better though, she didn't make any promises because they were out on tour but she could try to get a recording of them wishing your friend happy birthday and you could e-mail her the copy so she would always have it to keep.

A few days had passed since your phone call with the nice lady who was going to try to help you and you no longer expected a lot to come of it. You reached out in a text and had even left a voicemail, understanding she must have been very busy working for such a big company. You had found a makeshift gift and decided that it was best to let it go and know that you did try to pull off something great but busy schedules couldn't make it work.

You felt defeated at the party, sitting there wondering why you just didn't make better use of the time and use your brain to clarify that these were busy people and they were out on tour and didn't have time to make a happy birthday recording. Your bestie comforted you and assured you that she loved the gift and was so happy she had it, she was truly the sweetest person you knew. As the party came to a close and you were wishing everyone a goodbye before heading back to your place, your phone vibrated in your pocket.

"Sorry for such a late reply getting back to you, I think we might have missed your deadline given and we are truthfully sorry." The text message read out from an unrecognized phone number.

"Who is this and what are you talking about exactly?" You replied, sliding into your car to go home.

"This is Namjoon, I am sorry that we have been so busy to not fill your request. Our tour schedule is complete chaos, I asked to reach out personally and apologize to you." The text buzzed through again.

"It's ok really. Thanks anyways." You almost wreck your car as you pull in your driveway. How the hell was Kim Namjoon sending you a text message!

"Well I hope your friend has a happy birthday. You are sweet to do this for her." Namjoon replies, shocking you again.

"Thank you, she is my best friend and I love her so much." You send back and put your phone in your purse, digging out your house keys.

How in the hell did this man get your phone number?! The same man that just 2 days ago you had realized was one of the sexiest men you had laid eyes on. Now he had your phone number and sent you text messages to apologize for not pleasing you! You had to take a moment to pause and reevaluate the situation that you had managed to get yourself into.
