The brisk fall air welcomed Blake as she rode the bike path home. Today's events at school keep playing in her head. "Oh my God today was the best today ever!! I finally got sweet revenge against that mean bitch and flock of cronies. Now i just need to control my powers a little more and no one will ever bully me again." she said to herself while smile ear to ear.
While deep into her thoughts and not paying attention she ran into the a boy who was just standing in the middle of the bike path. Blake flew off of her bike and landed in some brush and branches. The boy ran over to where she was to see if she was okay. Blake feel a sharp pain for a minute. She looked at her arm to discover that a branch was stuck in her arm. Before she could scream; the mysterious boy pull the branch out of her arm. As soon as he did that the wound closed by itself. She sat in disbelief. The only thing that could come to her mind as she said it out loud is " This is not normal." "Don't worry about it I'm pretty sure it happens all the time to you. By the way i am Dominic." The boy said as helped her up.
"Well I'm sorry for running into you Dominic." Blake said she blushed. " It's okay I was the one standing in the middle of the road. If you don't mind may i walk you home." Dominic said. Blake looked at him and then looked her bike which was kind of bent now. "Sure you can walk me home. I don't mind at all." Blake said to him. The two started down the path. "So Dominic why were you staring at the sky in the middle of the path?" She asked. He replied with a laugh "Maybe i was waiting for a pretty girl to run me over with her bike." "Hahahahaha very funny. I didn't mean to hit with my bike." Blake said as started to look at the ground. "Don't look the ground. You never see what coming towards you." He said as he lifted up chin so her eye could meet his.
She tried to resist Dominic's bright green eyes. Something about him;made her want to embrace him with open arms. Blake was caught off guard by Dominic when move in closer to her until she could feel his breath on her face. Blake did something she never thought she would do. She leaned for a kiss. He returned the kiss. The kiss lasted forever in her mind. He broke their embrace. "I think i must be going now. I'll come by tonight." Dominic said as turned to walk away.
Blake didn't realize she was in front of her house until her cell phone rang. "Hello" she said as spoke into the receiver. "What you need me to bring to dinner? Earth to Blake!!!!!" Doray screamed snapped Blake back into reality. "Just bring yourself. Talk you later" She said as she hang up the phone to stop Dominic from walking away. "Dominic!!! Stop!!!" Blake screamed. He was too far down the road to hear her. Blake walked in the house to collect her thoughts and not believing the fact she had her first kiss.
She looked around the house for her parents. " They must be in the lab." She said as she found the note that said her parents were in the lab. Blake's parents didn't noticed Blake as she enter the lab. The Laboratory has always being a magical and wonderful place for her since she has been a child. "Mom and Dad I'm home!!! Whatcha working on?" Blake said as she slid on a lab coat. " Take a look at this and tell me what you think." said Robert Blake's dad. She opened the box to her surprise it was a puppy. " Oh my gosh you guys are the best parents ever!! Blake said in excitement. "Robert..Blake and I have something to discuss before we leave for the meeting." April Blake's mom said as she signed for Blake to follow her. They exit the lad and went into the study.
April grab a book and handed it to Blake. Blake looked at the book confused. " Mom i don't see any words." Blake as she flipped back and forth through the book. " Focus and extend your fangs. After you have to bite your thumb and wait for you blood to surface and press down on the first page." April explained. Blake focus on trying to extend her teeth. Just as she was about to give up.She felt a small pain in her mouth. Blake did just as her mother instructed. The words slowly started to appear. "This book holds the knowledge you'll need to help you in the future. Baby i trust that you are old enough to understand that you are different from the rest of the children in this town. Many cant understand the type of power that you hold. You are either vampire nor werewolf. You are if i must say it both of them. Part of a new breed." April said Blake just looked at April in totally disbelief. She felt as her whole world crashed around her. "Look honey i know it's a lot to process. I will help train your powers. We'll talk more about this at later."
Blake pinch herself to see if it was a dream. "OMG it's not a dream, I'm only 17 years old. I just wanted to be regular teenage vampire. Well i guess i can embrace it." Blake said as she looked at mom. "Thank you for understating baby." April said as she embraced Blake. Blake after hear this new information finally felt whole. Blake felt her mom in the study as she walked towards her room to get ready for dinner. Blake could wait for dinner with hopes that Dominic would show up. Couple of hours later. The House was filled with guess. Blake knew all the people didn't show because of their love for her just to show respect to her family. "You know it kinda suck that we still get treated like outcast. Even though I'm a part of one freaking royalty here." Blake said laughing and jokingly. "Like Oh my God I can totally hang out with you since your family is like the top of the food chain." Doray said in a mimic sort of way. Blake laughed. Blake laughed and talked with Doray until Dinner was served a after dinner the dinner guess slowly exited. "Who are you looking for Blake?" Doray asked. "Oh just some guy i met and invite him to dinner." Blake said watching the door. Blake's grandfather tapped her on the shoulder distracting her watch on the door. "Yes Grandfather." Blake asked. "I just wanted to say happy birthday and give you this." Grandfather said as he handing Blake the small gold box. She opening it, to her surprise it was a locket it. Just like the one her mother wears. "You are of age now I want you to come by my compound after school we'll discuss more there. Now I will get rid of the guess and see you tomorrow" Grandfather said as he kissed her check.
It seem like with a snap of his finger. The place cleared out. So many events had acurred on her birthday. She wondered what tomorrow will bring as she walked to her room. A couple hours passed and Blake still couldn't go to sleep. Suddenly she heard a knock on her window. Blake opened it to find Dominic sitting on the tree branch outside the window. " So are you going to invite me in or just watch until i fall out of the tree." He said. She motioned for him to come in. " You know if my parents find us we are totally dead right?." Blake said with a whisper. Dominic reached in with a kiss to shut her up. What started off as a friend kiss went into a full blown make out session. Dominic broke first from the serious of series kisses. "Why you stopped? Why i am kissing you..Gosh i feel like such a whore.I just met you!!!" Blake said as she buttoned up her shirt. " Listen there things are at work you don't understand

Dominic said as he climbed out the window. Blake sat on the bed gathering her thoughts. "Seems like mom has some explaining to do but why would she keep some like this me and dad" Blake said as tried to go sleep for million time.
