I was ready to end this hunt the amusement I was able to find in the fear my prey excluded, had ceased to exist. As I readied to strike my prey down a boy entered the area. Almost instantly the attention of my prey was drawn away from me and latched onto the boy. I felt indifferent about the change of course this hunt took. In a similar fashion to that of my prey, my attention was drawn onto the boy who unknowingly ruined my hunt. He was beautiful, but even the most beautiful of humans can be the cruelest. He stood with confidence and gave off an air of superiority and yet he was scared of something, he was doing a good job of concealing it had I not been a demon I would not have noticed. The boy approached my prey warily and did the unthinkable. As a demon I have lived for a long time and have seen so many of the sickening things that humans would do in order to survive or to get power and wealth, never once have I seen a human that was selfless. Instead of asking for help like most would do he asked the man if he was okay and if he needed help. The fact that he was being sincere in this and held no alter motivate caught my interest. As their conversation drew on I managed to find out that two men were chasing him. My heart was pounding with excitement at the thought of having more interesting things to do and at that moment I decided to keep the boy alive. It was obvious he would attract trouble and this boy would be my source of entertainment in the meantime while I tried to figure out boy. Once I found myself satisfied, I would kill him. Sweet and simple. I grinned in glee, so unlike myself but it was a joyous occasion. I took a glance at, Ciel (as he introduced himself). It was supposed to be a quick glance but I found myself stopping for a moment. The light of the moon was hitting Ciel in such a way that he seemed unearthly. After a few seconds, I gathered my bearings and took I off to find the men that were chasing Ciel. This hunt turned out better than I had expected. I would hunt those men in such a way that they would wish they had never been born, as for my first prey he seemed to have unknowingly found a safe zone, Ciel's presence.
