The door to the small café squeaked open and the breeze wafted over to me. I looked up from my phone and saw Taylor, with messy hair and no bandana, a sight that surprised me. He lifted Jewel up more onto his hip.

I stood up and met him halfway. I hugged him briefly and we walked back to my table. I asked the waitress for a high chair for Jewel.

"What happened?" I took Jewel from him and set her on my lap.

He explained what happened and I laughed.

"Stupid thing to get in a fight over, don't you think?" I asked.

He nodded and asked the waitress for two coffees.

"So, what are you going to do?" I asked quietly.

The waitress brought over a high chair and two coffees. I set Jewel in the high chair and Taylor gave her a bottle full of milk.

"I don't know what to do." He looked like he was going to cry. Jewel whimpered and I smoothed back her hair.

"Maybe you should take a break, if you two are going to fight over stupid things, then maybe it isn't working out." I said, I never thought I would say that.

He took a deep breath and let it out slowly.
