so, the chapter titles will be describing Ciel instead of Sebastian. yeah. that is my idea.

       『1. His Smile, Nonexistent』

Peeling beige wallpaper hung haphazardly off of the walls, blue vases almost exactly identical to the ones previous perched themselves on polished oak in-tables, and portraits of the previous Queens and Kings of London, England lined the tacky colored walls. In the midst of these quite terribly furnished walls, a girl stood there with her butler, both clad in black. She had this feline walk as she prowled the red carpeted floors, like a cat.

"Eleanor!" the black clad girl ordered.

"Yes, Mistress?" her butler asked, standing straighter as they both stopped in the middle of the hallway.

"Please, walk in front of me. I thought we discussed this in case of madmen, you are to shield me. Have I taught you nothing?" her voice was harsh, but soft at the same time. Like a cat, depending on which side you saw, they could be harsh or they could be sweet. It was an odd kind of thing.

"Of course Mistress, I am sorry for my foolish tendencies." the tall maid with long ebony hair stepped in front of her younger commander. They were going to Mr. Ash Landers’s office for a new case, as the Queen's Cat she was a skilled assassin, taking out anyone whom of which Queen Victoria deemed unworthy of living a life.

It was a dreary night, October 17th of 1888, where the wind was blowing briskly, the rain was pouring down in waves, and the thunder was rolling in with a loud crash. As they walked through the hallway, the adolescent girl swore she could hear the loud clapping of the rain hitting the tiled roof above them and the faint dripping of the rainwater falling from the gutter. She had been born with cat-like hearing, so her ears were sharp and her finger nails--more like claws--were bunching up the material of her black dress that made her look like she was attending a funeral.

When they'd finally reached Mr Landers's office, a sharp knock from Eleanor, the maid of the Queen's Cat, was heard all throughout the silent work office. It seemed like forever and a day in the cat's opinion for the door to open. There stood Mr. Landers in his white tuxedo, silver hair, and gleaming violet eyes smiled at them. He was an angel and while that did not please the cat, she bared with him only because she had a job to do and she couldn't fail. She had to honor her parents' memory.

"You called, Mr. Landers?" the cat drawled, stepping forward into his office without an invitation, not that she needed one. It was the same homey place she had always been accustomed to. The beige walls, comfy brown couch, lacquered desk table, and broad black leather stuffed chair. Nothing else was decorating the room besides the name plaque on his desk, it was boring, dull, and unlively, not that she was ever asked to complain about it.

"Ah yes, please do sit down and make yourselves at home, it is rather a confusing case I have for you this time. And how many times must I ask you to call me Ash? Really, it is no trouble at all Ms. Hall."

"If you insist on going by formalities for me, I shall do the same Mr. Landers, I assume that you consider men and women as equals, correct?" she tilted her head to the side as her eyes sparkled with defiance.

"O-Of course, Ms. Hall. Anyway, let us get on with the case. The Queen bids me tell you that this is going to be a longer more intricate kind of assassination. I hope that you can accept it in her greatest honor." Ash started out, waving his white gloved hand around as he looked at the two females sitting on the couch and pulled out a slim manila folder that was jam packed with papers and pictures of this target.
