"You have returned, Ryan... Alive as I can see.", Hera grumbled quietly, but the echo system of the great hall on the Olymp carried every word to the listener's ears.

Ryan Beaumont bent his head in humility. He was the hero of the day and probably even of the decade. His fight against Chronos had brought him attention and fame in the world of the gods. Now, that he had finally sent the titan of time and chaos back to the Tatarus where he belonged, he had come to the Olymp to take his deserved crown: Immortality and the hand of the man he loved.
Zeus smiled at him like a proud father. It had been his order and wish to send Ryan on such a dangerous quest. As a demi-god it was his duty to fight monsters but defeating a titan at the age of twenty was an impressive move.

"Welcome home, Ryan. I hope the way wasn't too hard.", the father of gods laughed quietly at his own joke, making Ryan smirk tiredly.

All the brunette wanted right now was to sleep side by side with his beloved.

"Dear gods and goddesses", he raised his voice now, "We have gathered here today to celebrate the homecoming of the greatest hero of our time: Ryan Beaumont. He battled Medusa, Uranus, Hydra and finally sent Chronos back to Tatarus."

The gods around cheered and applauded, while Ryan fell on one knee, following the rules of the process of becoming his prize.

"With that said, I offer you, Ryan Leonard Beaumont – son of Hercules and Leah Beaumont – the gift of Immortality. Do you accept it?"

Ryan lifted his head to look Zeus in the eyes while answering.

"I – Ryan Leonard Beaumont – accept the immortality and promise to not abuse the gift."

His heart was pounding rapidly, his head barely able to concentrate. The first part of the ceremony was almost done, only one person was missing.

"Then, I – Zeus – father of all gods and goddesses, admit you to our ranks, Ryan. Are you ready?"

The demi-god nodded lightly.

The earth began to shake as Zeus rammed his lightning into the floor. The marble cracked open just until the point where Ryan was kneeing, his head bent again.

A sharp yet relieving pain rushed through his body and it felt like every wound he had ever had was ripped open and knitted together again, healing them faster than Nectar or Ambrosia ever could. Ryan opened his mouth for a silent scream, but as surprising and quick as it had come, the pain faded again. He crashed back on the floor, breathlessly lying there, gasping for air.

"Pathetic", Hera thought to herself, "and that man shall marry my son, my Andy? No way..."

Under the vigilant eyes of the Olympic gods, Ryan Leonard Beaumont left the great hall after thanking Zeus for the first part of his promise. Yet, the second part was still missing and nowhere to be seen so far...
