My first day of school was a complete disaster! All I wanted was to start the year of right with the popular girls. I thought maybe Nadia Shrader would talk to without saying something mean, rude, and obnoxious. Maybe even my crush, Jacob Lawson, would notice me. I really wanted this year to be better. Ha ha! Who am I kidding? It couldn't be worse!
I looked in the car mirror before hopping out of the car and walking towards the school. My curls bounced in the air as I walked. I felt like I looked amazing. Boy! That didn't last long. Nadia and her five friends got out of her parents Lexus. Nadia looked like a million bucks. Her hair floated perfectly in the wind and her must have cost as much as my house. Did I mention that Nadia's dad works for Bill Gates? All six of them flipped their hair as they walked past me. It really didn't bother me too much, so I walked on to class.
At lunch, I was walking to a open seat when Jacob ran right into me. Thin spaghetti sauce ran down my body. My yellow and white dress was now covered in red. Jacob grabbed four kids napkins and started trying to get all of the stains out. It was really weird because he didn't even know my name. He wouldn't stop apologizing and soon everyone was staring. I kept tell him it was fine and that I would clean it up. The pile of red napkins grew bigger and bigger. Even after all the dripping sauce was off my dress was ruined. Jacob looked into my eyes for the first time ever. He noticed me! This wasn't the way I imagined it.
