Red lights flashes. Screams. Desperate screams.
When my eyes are finally able to focus, I see shattered glass and blood, lots of blood, all over the floor.
Questions like "Where am I?", "Why am I here?" and "What the hell happened to me?" fill my mind.
The fact that I can't get any answers just confuses me even more. Meanwhile, a sharp pain on the back of my head cuts off my thoughts.
Everything seems to slow down.
I can't hear the screams anymore and the lights seem to fade away.
Youngjae sits up on his bed gasping for air. It happened again, the nightmares came back. The suffocating feeling of going through the accident again never fails to take his breath away.
His bedroom's door opens abruptly revealing his boyfriend with obvious worry in his eyes.
"It's okay, I'm here now, Jae." The young man softly whispered, laying beside Youngjae, conforting him.
"I'm okay, Mark." Youngjae answered equally softly hugging his boyfriend back.
Being in Mark's arms always brought some kind of inexplicable warmth to Youngjae's heart. A feeling so pure that could light up even the darkest days. Each other's embrace was their home.
"You think it will ever end?" Youngjae asked about the nightmares.
"I don't know love, but I'll be here always! I'll be your light in the dark!" Mark answered hugging the younger male even tighter. "But for now sleep, I have plans for tomorrow!" The older male added with a little snicker.
After that Youngjae was finally able to fall asleep. Finally in the arms of the love of his life, in his so precious haven.
However Mark was still wide awake. He truly was concerned about Youngjae's health. He was afraid that the younger's amnesia could get worse or that he could never remember his past. The accident had been six months ago but there were still some wounds on the younger's body. He was recovering so well but Mark couldn't help but be worried about his little angel.
