{NASHI'S POV}
Immediately, Nova takes command. She's a born leader. "Nashi. Looking at the texture of it's skin, that thing is a campfire waiting to happen. You'll be most effective."

I nod grimly. "I assume you want me to use that."

"That would be best."

"But Nova, I've never been able to do that once, even with all my practice."

"Just focus. You can. You're a Dragn... a Dragonheart after all." She winks. I take a deep breath and look up at the Way Back, concentrating.

It must think the only one who can still hurt it is Future Graham, because it ignores us, crushing everything in a beeline for Kardia Cathedral.

Nova turns to the others. "The rest of you, don't attack until I give the signal! Preserve the element of surprise! Everyone aside from Lexi and Rose, aim for existing old injuries!"

"Got it." Storm cracks his knuckles.

"Good luck." Mizu whispers to Gale.

"Rose, your magic is better at piercing the tough skin, so you need to make new injuries." Nova continues. Rose smirks, already requiped into her queen battle royale armor.

"I'll fly around, use support magic, and warn you about the legs' movements, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't pay attention to surprise attacks from the tail! Finally, Lexi—"

"Please say lightning rain. Please say lightning rain." Lexi begs, hands clasped.

"We need the biggest lightning rain you've got!"

"Yes!" Lexi squeals. "The power of positive thinking! Thanks sis, I love you so much!"

"Altogether now, just like we practiced!" Nova changes into her seraphic soul form. "GO!"

Everyone, aside from me and Nova, leaps towards the Way Back, which is sniffing around Kardia Cathedral and gets caught off-guard.

Following Nova's instructions, we easily gain the upper hand. And with Nova fluttering around and paying attention to it's movements, it doesn't have a chance to surprise us.

"That's what our guild is like in the future?" Aunt Erza watches, wide-eyed, drawing my attention from the fight. It is quite the sight.

The Way Back writhes in pain, trapped by Lexi's lightning rain. The floating ball of electricity is like a mini sun, bright yellow amidst the dark haze of storm clouds.

Speaking of Storm, he and Kori are preforming flawless combination attacks, while Mizu has partnered with Gale to unleash impressive flurries of metal and snow.

Nova looks truly ethereal, like a butterfly. Or a fairy. She's mostly healing and restoring the energy of those who are fighting.

Aunt Erza's eyes, however, are only for her daughter, Rose, who's attacking like a whirlwind. Slashing and hacking and generally venting some anger, she's definitely fulfilling her role of making new injuries.

"Who do you think taught it to her... Aunt Erza." I decide it's okay to say that now that they know we're from the guild in the future.

She gasps, covering her mouth with her hands, and looks at Rose with a whole new admiration. "She's my student?"

Daughter actually. "Something like that."

"Sis strong!" Reiki chirps. The two youngest kids are not fighting, instead currently being held by Mom and Uncle Jellal, who still looks incredibly uncomfortable having a little kid cling to him.
