The next morning, Blake was woken up what felt like far too early, she was exhausted, and admittedly felt like she never went to sleep.

"Blake, wake up!" Yang snapped.

Blake jolted awake when she Felt a slight trace of anger come from Yang.

It started quicker than I expected, she thought while pushing Yang's emotions away.

"Good morning Yang." Blake yawned.

"We need to go Blake, now." Yang said.

Blake frowned, the anger had turned into fear, she nodded and got up, grabbing her jacket as they left the house, Yang practically dragging her out the door.

Yang let go of Blake and went to sit on a nearby log pile.

Fear, Panic, Worry.

Blake jumped in surprise at the sudden onslaught of emotions from Yang, a small smile forming at being able to feel them, despite how negative they were.

Blake bit her lip and tried to send something back.

Concern?

Yang jumped and looked around before her eyes fell on Blake, who was sat on the steps, she met Yang's eyes and rubbed her collarbone discreetly.

Yang took the hint and glanced down, and was surprised to find a bruise there.

Curious?

Blake smiled as she remembered what people said about having 'conversations' through their emotions.

Apology, Concern?

Yang smiled back and nodded.

Expectant, Questioning?

Blake raised an eyebrow, and Yang pointed to her neck.

Apology, Calm.

Yang frowned and went to move closer when Blake stopped her.

Lo-- Happy!

Yang stared at Blake in surprise.

Blake blushed at what she almost 'said'.

Happy...

Blake's blush deepened and she stared at the snowy ground.

"So, what just happened?" Yang asked, suddenly next to her, startling Blake.

"Um... It's a long story." Blake mumbled.

"Short version?"

Blake chuckled nervously. Apology.

"Okay, however you're doing that, just... stop apologising." Yang ordered.

"Faunus have this thing called a Mate's Mark," Blake began, eyeing the blonde to make sure she was keeping up.

"I've heard of that!" Yang cried excitedly. "It's some kinda love bite for faunus."

Blake blushed at the accuracy of her words.

"Right, do you know how they're made?" Blake asked.

"Nope!"

"Well, it's as you said, a love bite, so it's formed by... by..." Blake trailed off, far too embarrassed to say it.

Yang looked at her curiously for a moment, then the emotions came.

Curiousity, Realization... Shock.

"I'm sorry!" Blake cried, squeezing her eyes shut.

"You... marked me?" Yang asked slowly.

Blake cracked an eye open, and was surprised to see all the emotions in Yang's eyes, moving too fast to cross the link.

Blake pursed her lips and nodded, scratching her neck idly.

Yang went to scratch her own, when everything fell into place.

Apology... Apology!

Curious? Sadness.

Blake flinched at Yang's sadness.

"I'm sorry..." she whispered. "But I meant it."

Care. Hope.

"So... is it normal for faunus to, like... mark people before the love confession?" Yang asked. "I heard Mate's Mark is the same as getting married."

Blake blushed, but nodded, mumbling something Yang couldn't hear.

"Hm?"

"I did tell you..." Blake repeated, slightly louder.

"When?"

"Last night." Blake answered.

Yang blinked and thought back to last night, then remembered the barn.

"So I'm guessing 'I care about you' is faunus for 'I love you'?" Yang half joked.

Blake's blush turned into a scowl.

"I can remove it if you don't want it." Blake offered, despite not wanting to.

Yang clamped a hand over her mark protectively and shook her head.

"No way! Cool magic powers that come with being 'mated' to the girl I love I am not giving up!" Yang cried, only to realise too late what she just said.

"L-L... Love...?" Blake stuttered, her face a brilliant red.

Apology, Honest...

"And it's not magic." Blake mumbled.

Yang chuckled, moving to stand up. "Sure feels like it, now let's get going."

Blake bit her lip.

"Yang!" she called, jumping up and almost head-butting the blonde.

"Yeah?" Yang answered, moving away.

Blake glanced down for a moment, then leaned closer and touched Yang's cheek before quickly moving towards their transport, jumping up and moving so she'd be closest to Yang.

The blonde just stood frozen where Blake left her, eyes wide and flesh hand touching her cheek.

She... She kissed me, she really kissed me!

Yang looked over her shoulder and found her partner, who was blushing pink, while trying in vain to keep eye contact.

Excited, Happy, Love...

Yang grinned at her.

"I love you too Blake."
