-The Nemesis-

"Frag... Cascade calm down..... you're alright.. I'm right here." Wildbreak spoke softly, holding his younger brother close to his frame and rubbing his back. Cascade had a severe panic attack as soon as they got to the Nemesis and Wildbreak was still trying to calm him down with no success.

Cascade was trembling so badly he could hardly speak, clinging desperately to Wildbreak as if his life depended on it. In a way, it did. He was breathing so fast that Wildbreak feared he would hyperventilate and pass out. He choked out a few sobs, tears rolling down his cheeks. He had never experienced a panic attack like this before and it was terrifying.

Wildbreak sighed and narrowed his optics, looking over his shoulder and nearly jumping when he saw Starscream standing outside of the cell they were in. He snarled at the seeker, his vibrant yellow optics glowing with pure anger. "What do you want?" He spat the words from his mouth like venom, his tone dangerous and harsh.

Starscream released a dry chuckle from his throat, his wings fluttering as he folded his hands behind his back. A sinister smile spread across his face and he glared at Wildbreak for a moment. "You are aware of the punishment for betraying the Decepticons, correct?"

"Unfortunately." Wildbreak hissed, baring his denta at the seeker. "But I'd rather not go through with it."

Starscream raised an optic ridge. "Oh? And what are you suggesting you do instead? The punishment affects both of you." He growled, his sharp denta glinting in the light.

"Cascade is too young to understand, you know that. Leave him alone and do what you want to me." Wildbreak replied, keeping Cascade close and hushing him when he started sobbing again.

"So brave of you, protecting that weakling from every single thing." Starscream spat, his wings flattening against his back. "He's going to learn the hard way that the world isn't just about love happiness. You're hurting him more than you're helping him by shielding him from everything."

"And why in the world do you care? I'm doing what I think is right so he doesn't turn out like you." Wildbreak said coldly, glaring at Starscream for another minute before returning his attention to Cascade. His brother was finally calming down, his sobs dying down to low whimpers and hiccups. He felt him slump against him and supported him with his arms, shifting him into his lap.

"You're soft, both of you." Starscream hissed, his scarlet red optics narrowing down to pinpricks. "And your parents are nothing more than pieces of scrap metal waiting for the scrapyard. They should've never made the choices they did, you wouldn't be such a burden to them."

It took everything Wildbreak possessed to hold himself back, his hands closing into tight fists as he stiffened while listening to those words. He kept his arms wrapped around Cascade and didn't even bother looking back at Starscream. "One of these days, someone is going to get tired of your slag-headed personality and give you exactly what you deserve. If I ever get the chance to, I'm going to tear you apart slowly, piece by piece, until you finally understand how much fragging pain you put me and my family through. I'll make you suffer until you finally offline. Primus will never accept you into the Allspark. Go to hell."

Starscream was taken aback by what Wildbreak had said, a look of slight shock taking over his face before melting into that of rage. He hissed so hard that steam erupted from vents in his neck and he had to restrain himself from going in there and teaching Wildbreak a lesson. He stared for a moment more, rage burning in his optics, before turning sharply on his heel and leaving without a word.
