Irene tapped her finger at the home button. Her screen immediately lit up. It was a minute till midnight. Today was Friday the 14th.

Irene didn't expect to spend her 2 week long Easter break working but she gotta pay her rent somehow.

But something she was expecting was the girl to come today too, just like every Friday.

Irene looked out the window on her right side. She saw the girl she was expecting striding confidently with a bar of soap in her hand.

Just like every time she comes.

When she walked in she didn't seem to notice Irene's eyes glued all over her.

Irene normally wouldn't stare at people since she really doesn't care about anyone except herself but today she couldn't stop.

Irene wasn't sure why, maybe it was because she was amazed by the fact that that same girl comes here every Friday and buys exactly 13 different brands of sausages, two of each brand.

And on the second Friday of the month she holds a bar of soap in her left hand and on the third Friday of the month she carries a picture of Cookie Monster in her right hand and a seatbelt in the other hand.

Irene watched her pick out the same 13 different brands she always buys.

She carried them and her bar of soap in two red shopping baskets all the way to the cash register. The sausages were almost spilling out of the baskets. Irene had seen it before, in fact, she actually sees it every Friday.

The girl placed the shopping baskets to the counter. Irene began scanning them one after one.

"I'm not actually allowed to say this but why the fuck do you come here exactly at midnight every Friday and buy exactly 13 different brands of sausages, 2 of each" Irene's mouth kept talking by itself.

"And on the second Friday of the month you hold a bar of soap in your left hand and on the third week of the Friday of the month you carrying a picture of Cookie Monster in your right hand and a seatbelt in the other" Irene continued.

The girl just gave Irene a long stare. It didn't seem like she was going to answer.

Irene continued to scan all of her things until she was done. The girl paid and Irene said the same thing she always said "Thank you for your purchase."

This was the most awkward "thank you for your purchase." she's ever said.

Irene handed her her sausages in two plastic bags and the girl slipped the bar of soap she held in there too.

The girl would usually leave right now, but this time she didn't, instead the girl walked over to the cupped noodles section and picked out 2 cups of noodles. Irene of course watched her.

She brought them to the cash register and gave them to Irene to scan. Irene couldn't exactly tell what the girl's face was trying to say.

The girl kept looking around the store but she didn't seem nervous, just bored.

She paid and Irene handed her the cup noodles and said the exact same phrase again.

"Thank you for your purchase"

"Come, let's eat." The girl said gesturing for Irene to come.

Irene didn't move an inch.

"Come on, take a seat." The girl sat down in one of the tables waiting for Irene to follow. Irene followed hesitantly and sat down.
