Irene stopped filling the shelf with bags of chips to look around for a moment. She didn't like the feeling of being all alone in the store in the middle of the night.

In an attempt to cheer herself up Irene reminded herself that it was Friday and that she had the rest of the weekend to take a break.

"Oh right Seulgi, she should come soon?" Irene just remembered.

Irene quickly pulled out her phone out of her back pocket. She tapped the home button and the phone screen lit up.

It was 23:39.

That meant Seulgi was coming soon. Irene couldn't stop thinking about when they would meet next for the whole week.

Today she wanted to ask for Seulgi's number. Maybe Irene would finally get to know why Seulgi buys all those sausages.

Irene began refilling the shelves again. This was the last box she had to empty out.

Irene didn't really hate her job but she didn't particularly like it either. She just really needed the money.

When she was done with refilling she walked back to the cash register.

Irene pulled out her phone again to check the time. It was 23:58 by then.

"Seulgi should come soon" Irene thought to herself.

The doors opened as she walked in and as expected Seulgi had a picture of cookie monster in her right hand and a seatbelt in the other.

Seulgi did the same routine she always did except today she included two cup noodles in her purchase just like last week.

Seulgi put her two shopping baskets on the counter and Irene began scanning them with a smile on trying to sneak onto her face.

Irene was glad she came today since she thought she would stop coming after that...
incident.

When Irene was done she handed Seulgi her sausages in two plastic bags and Seulgi's cup noodles balanced on top of each other in her hands.

"Thank you for your purchase"

"Irene, you coming?" Seulgi asked Irene while signalling for her to follow her.

"Oh, I'm coming" Irene walked out of the cash register trying to catch up with Seulgi.

Seulgi began preparing her cup noodles and Irene awkwardly followed, similarly to last week.

When both of them were done they waited in silence for the noodles to be finished.

"Seulgi, can I have your number?" Irene asked boldly staring boldly at Seulgi.

"Yeah sure" Irene reached for her phone to hand to Seulgi.

Irene's eyes were glued onto Seulgi's fingers typing into her phone. While she was at it Irene took a moment to appreciate her pretty fingers.

They looked soft, slender and thin. Maybe Irene had stared for too long but she didn't care.

"Irene? I'm done" Seulgi said as she waved her phone in front of Irene's face.

"Thanks, I'll call you later" Irene got caught off guard.

Seulgi split her chopsticks in two pieces and was about to dig in before Irene said something.

"Seulgi, tell me something about you. I'm curious" Irene said as she rested her back on the chair.

"Did you know I can swallow this cup of noodles in two bites, Irene?" Seulgi said picking up a little less than a handful of noodles with her chapsticks.
