"Roger, no. We can't do this anymore. It was a mistake."

Roger snorted. He had his head tilted back as you locked lips once more, sighing as his teeth pulled gently on your bottom lip, "a mistake that we've been making for more than thirty minutes now."

You tried to pull away, "Roger, we're just friends! This has to stop."

Roger fought the urge to ignore your protests and stopped, pulling back enough to look up at you still seated on top of him, "You know, if we wanted to, this would be the perfect position for—"

"ROGER!"

"What?"

You narrowed your eyes at him. You knew kissing him had been a mistake and yet you couldn't stop yourself from doing it. Over and over, "I thought it wasn't going to be that way for us."

"What way? The sex? Look, I can't help it. T-That's why I wanted you when we first met. But you turned me down, for whatever reason I don't know. But the weird thing is, I've gotten to know you instead of moving on. A-And...ughhh," he let out a long groan, "fine...I-I like you, okay? I really reallylike you and when you said 'just friends' I tried to give you that because... it's what you wanted."

You and Roger told each other everything. But this was a confession that you never thought you'd hear come out of his mouth. You hadn't realized how close the two of you had become over the years.

Roger's gentle voice dragged you out of your thoughts, "we can always still be friends but...don't you wonder what it would be like if we were more than that?"

You moaned as he pressed his lips to your neck, trailing kisses over your heated skin, "Rog..."

"You know, you're the only girl who's ever turned me down and that's...I thought it was a challenge at first but turns out...it's an honor. Because I know that no one is ever going to love me like you will."

As much as you appreciated the kindness of his words, you couldn't force the hesitation away, "Shouldn't we go on a date first? I-if we were...let's say we weregoing to take this any further. Shouldn't we..."

Roger let your sentence trail off before he responded, "we've been friends for three years, dumbass. We've done everything there is to do except have sex!"

You swatted his arm and he recoiled, rubbing the spot you'd slapped, "Ouch! What?! Is it because I said sex?"

You narrowed your eyes at him and raised your hand to give him another smack on the arm and he flinched, "stop it! Don't do that! You haven't completely warmed up to the idea of it yet. That's fine. Or do you just not want me to say the word?" You could see the faint glint in his eyes and a small smirk appeared on his face. You knew if you told him not to say it, he'd keep saying it, just because he's an ass.

You growled, "I hate you."

Roger snorted and bucked his hips, making your squeal and grab onto him for dear life so that he didn't throw you off, "oh, shut up. You love me and you know it."

The two of you would always banter back and forth. You couldn't stand not to. You always gave it to him and he gave it right back. "You're my best friend, so I guess that counts for something," you shrugged and laid back down with him, chest to chest again. You kissed his jaw and listened to a small gasp escape his parted lips.

"That's nice. Here. How about this. You could just...we could kiss for as long as you're comfortable?"

You raised an eyebrow at him, "you want me to kiss you? Roger, honestly—"
