Lu's eyes flutter open and he spots Amethyst leaning on the edge of the Eden barrier.
"What happened."
"He stunned us and left us out here. The barriers fixed there's no way back in."
"There has to be a way in, there must've been some mistake."
Lu pulls up his wristcom and attempts to make a call.
"It no use. There's no signal out here. We're stranded." Ame get's up starts to pace around.
"What do we do?" Lu asks
"We walk. If they knew we could come out here I'm sure they come out for supplies every once in a while or something. I mean think about it there's no real forest in the city but we've got loads of wooden crap, no mines but iron and copper is everywhere.."
"You're right, I mean you're probably dead wrong, but it's worth a shot."
"Ugh what ever let's go."Lu and Ame walk around the city from the East quadrant and make it near the north quadrant before dusk sets in and they Ame gets tired.
"Can we stop here? I can't go anymore."
"It'll be dark soon you should sit down I'll try find-"
Lu suddenly stops and stares up at a hill,
"What the.."
Ame looks up in the same direction see's a figure watching them from the atop of the hill with some kind of light in their hand."Hey! We need your help." Lu attempts to call out to her and she walks off into the woods behind her. Lu runs after her leaving Ame, too tired to follow him, behind.
"Lu!"
"Wait there! I'll be back"He runs into the forest and see's the blue light the figure had in the distance. He follows it deeper into the forest and looses it in the middle of a wide open field surrounded by the dense forest with flourescent flowers glowing all around in the now darkened night. Lu looks around and when he turns back there's a girl right behind him.
"Hello." She says
"Hel-"The girl raises her hand before Lu blacks out and wakes up with a bright light in his eyes.
"You didn't come back."
Ame peers over his face as his eyes adjust to the brightness of the sunlight.
"I'm getting really sick of that."
Lu gets up and realise he's sleeping on a bed of flowers in the field.
"How did you get here."
"Spring brought me."
"What does that even-"
Lu turns around and sees a girl sitting on a large boulder. She had hair that flowed from brown to blond at the tip's, dark skin and was wearing this cloak with a green good. She jumps down off the rock and starts walking towards Lu and Ame. Her bright blue eyes had Lu mesmerized.
"It's nice to meet you. I am Spring."
"Y- you're.."
"Yes I'm the one who you were following last night. Sorry I thought you were with the district."
"I'm- y- yea, Hi I'm-"
"Lu, yes your friend told me all about you." She smiled.
Lu got up and looked over at a staff that was leaning up against the rock. It had a glowing blue orb on the top.
"Who are you?"
"I am Spring. I've lived in this Forest since I was just a baby and this is my garden."
"What did you do to me yesterday?"
"I merely shocked your nervous system and your body did the rest. Right there."
Lu puts his hand over his collar bone and feels a sharp pain. "We thought there were no humans outside of Eden. We didn't think there was anything but death out here."
"That is what they tell you but that all ended about a century ago. The Earth has corrected itself since then but they want to keep you contained, under their control. They do not want you free."
"Who's they?"
"The ones who locked you out."
"She says there's a way in but it's long way from here, North West side of the dome to be exact." Ame says walking towards them
"Ok we made it from East to South so we should be able to get to the North West side."
"It took you two about a day to get here correct? Then it should take you a few more to get the North West side. The East quadrant is very much the smallest of the four, since there's aren't so many people they don't need much residential space so they only reserved about ⅛ of the city for living."They all walk over near the rock Spring sat on. From there they could almost see the entirety of the city of Eden.
"There were the large grey buildings are. That's where the entrance is." Spring points at a section of the city unlike the rest. It's a rather lifeless area. No trees and from where they were standing not a single bit of movement could be seen.
"The industrial quarter, it's the powerhouse of the city. Everything starts there, water purification, power, technology, and all of it is automated so nobody-"
"Nobody ever goes there." Spring interrupts Lu and stares off at the industrial quarter.
"How do you know so much about the city if you've always lived outside?" Lu asks her.
She looks at him then goes and fetches her staff.
"We should start moving right away. At least we will get somewhere before night falls."
"You're coming with us!?" Ame exited responds
"A long journey lies ahead of you, you will need my assistance."
Lu pulls a thumbs up "Spring has joined your party?"
The girls both stare at him.
"You know...in RPGs.. when someone- you know what should probably get going."
Lu walks ahead of them.
"Is he always like this?"
"You'll get used to it.. eventually."
