I Took a Walk

The disappointment

 "So where are the other guys" I asked curiously. "Well..." he trailed off. "WELL WHAT!" we shouted at him. "Well... they kinda maybe uh." Stacy and I both glared at him." OK OK OK sheesh ugh girls" he said shaking his head "Well they kinda are going out of town this weekend."

  This was a big deal because this weekend was my huge 18th birthday and I was having a huge birthday party. But they wouldn't be there this made me really angry because I have known them for a long time. They have been there for me through thick and thin."Oh" I said disappointed. "Really?" "Yeah I'm so sorry Mary. I was very disappointed but I knew that it wouldn't be the same without them.

  I really didn't want to think about it anymore so I changed the subject. "So what should we do I'm kinda tired of walking?" I couldn't stop thinking about my party and how three of my best friends wouldn't be there. I tried to take that off my mind. So I started towards the water it was late so I wasn't sure if I would go in the water or not.

  Stacy and Collin were in a deep conversation that I wasn't really paying attention to. So I decided I would quickly jump in the water and quickly get out. I had my bathing suit on because in Hawaii you never knew when you would go to the beach because you could at any time.

   They still didn't know I had gone until I got back. They looked at me puzzled because I was all wet. ''Where did you go?"

    I glared at Stacy because that was such a stupid question since we lived right near the ocean. "Well since we live next to the OCEAN!" sounding kind of irritated. She looked at me kinda like a lost puppy."I'm sorry Stace I'm just a little upset right now." 

  "I know I'm sorry Mary it will be ok though I promise it will be really fun just don't think about it so much, come on lets go watch a movie it will help clear your head." She always sounded so reassuring, she is such a great friend. "I don't know how I would live without you." She always came back with a sharp cute answer. "UGH you wouldn't DUH.'' I chuckled because she was so sweet but had a very strong personality.

  Collin spoke up "Come on Mary it will be great we don't need them at all we can have a great time without them" he said kissing my cheek.

  "I know but it would be better if they were there, but I guess I can't change it." I knew he was right but I guess I just didn't want to admit it because I've know them for so long. I just couldn't imagine my big 18th birthday without all my best friends there.

  I guess it could be a good time without them but it would be hard. The walk home was long and awkwardly silent. When we got to my house we decided to watch She's the Man. We all loved it.

 We were laughing for most of the movie. "UGH IM SSOO TIRED" I was exhausted. Collin and Stacy agreed with me. "Well Ima head out girls see y'all tomorrow." "Bye Collin see ya. How about we meet here early in the morning and get the rest of the guys to come so we can go running?" We usually went for a run every morning. Its a great stress reliever.

 "Kay babe see y'all tomorrow" he said sounding really tired, he kissed us both on the cheek. We always kissed each other it didn't mean anything because we have been friends since forever. "Okay love ya Collin" I said nonchalantly. "Bye baby love ya" Stacy said. We were all so tired thank God Collin lived right next door otherwise we were screwed. "Hey Mary do you think I could stay here tonight?" I didn't even have to think about it because my family and her family were practically related so it didn't matter. "Yep I'll just go tell my parents."Collin followed behind so I could lock the door behind him. When we reached the door I let him out and watched as he walked home so I could make sure he made it home safely.

 After he went in I shut the door and locked it. I headed towards my parents room when I heard a crash up stairs my reaction was to run up stairs as fast as I could.

 When I reached my room i busted in and saw Stacy lying on the floor.... "GOD DAMMNIT!" Is all I could say.
