Ash's pov

"Ash! Wake up!" someone pounded my door. I groaned. The pounding became louder. "Knock it off!!! You keep pounding like that you'll wake up the nearest giant." I shouted. My brother Sage walked in. "Oh good your awake. For a moment there I thought you were dead little brother." Sage said. I rolled my eyes. "Get ready the queen wants to see you." He said. "Now." he added before leaving. I changed and headed towards the throne room. I hated my mother. She always wanted someone dead. I made it to the throne room. bowing stiffly to my queen. "Ash darling." she purred. "step foward." I did as I was told. "How may I be of service my queen." I asked. "So formal. But darling would it kill you to smile?" she asked. I smiled then it fell away. she sighed. "I guess that'll have to do. I need you to rid the world of the summer princess." I nodded. "Of course my queen." I bowed on last time before leaving.

Meghans pov

I waited for Puck at the edge of the river. where was that idiot? I wondered. probably off terrorizing someone. I snorted. Classic Puck. someone grabbed me. I shrieked. Puck laughed. "Damn you." I hissed. "shut up." I said. I felt a colder presence. My breath lingering in the air. "Hello princess enjoying your time with your beloved?" Ash asked. I drew my daggers. "What do you want?" I asked. he knew that I wanted to kill him. but I knew he couldn't. He drew his sword. "Same thing as I want to do with Puck. your head on a pike."

Ash's pov

my sword wavered. I couldn't kill her. Puck had disappeared. I lunged at her. feeling something graze my cheek. my arm blazed with pain. I bit my lip to keep from screaming. My tememper had snapped. I felt years of torment and despair rise up. I lunged a jolt rocking my shoulder. I heard a small yelp of pain. I pulled my swordop back to me. it was covered in blood. I saw Meghans violet eyes starting to dim. she fell onto the ground. Shit! I kneeled next to her. pulling her shirt up to her ribs. ripping a piece off my jacket. I tried to stop the bleeding. someone yanked me to my feet and pinned me to a tree. Puck's arm began crushing my windpipe.

Meghans pov

I felt cool fingers graze my skin. my eyes flickered opened. "Sage?" I asked. he smiled. "I'm right here." he said helping me stand. I saw ash pinned to a tree. "you killed her you ass!!!!" Puck shouted. ash whimpered. "let go of me Puck." this was the first time I ever heard him beg. Well it was only a matter of time.

Sage's pov

Meghan smiled at me. I stared into her violet eyes. she was so small like a child. all I wanted to do was protect her that's all I wanted to do. "Puck knock it off." She shouted. Puck stepped away from Ash. I watched Ash sag to the base of the tree. Puck embraced Meghan. "Careful. the bleeding has finally stopped and I would like to keep it that way." I said. but I was to late. blood started blooming again. Puck stepped away. "Oops sorry princess are you alright?" she put her hand against a tree and nodded. "Yeha I'm fine. Just give me a minute."she said. she breathed. letting go of the tree.

Ash's pov

I blinked a few times. air slowly returning to me. I stared into violet eyes. "Ash? you alright?" Meghan asked me. "why do you care? I tried to kill you." she helped me up. "I'm not that stupid ash. everyone here knows you cant kill me. you care to much." She said. I rolled my eyes. "That's what you think." she looked at me. "Ash when Puck had you against the tree it was the second time ive heard you beg." I raised an eyebrow. second? really? I merely shrugged. "so what's your point?" she hit me upside the head. "your going soft ash."
