Chapter 6 : Expect The Unexpect At A Party

"Andreaaaaaaa!!!" screamed my friend in the school hallway.

"Woo, what's wrong?" I asked curiously. She came to my side having apparently a new to tell me.

"There's this party at Mary's place tonight. I know that you don't particulary like her but it could be fun. Do you want to go? "

I hesitated. I didn't really like parties. It only causes trouble, trouble and trouble! Plus this week was kinda rough for me... I stayed at the time at my bff 's place hiding from everything and everyone. Today was my first since the last incident.

"Come on Dau!!" pleaded my best friend. "Niall is going to be there". Her face changed to a big smile.

" Sooo?"

"Well you get to see him" replied Laura.

" Can't you just go on your own? " I said, laughing, wanting to avoid the subject.

"There's no party without my best friend!"

I closed my locker and started to walk with her to the parking lot. Finally the day was over! Trying to avoid Niall in class was terribly hard but not impossible.

"I don't even have something to wear..." I said

" Ohh, you'll find something! Let's go shopping if you want to. We have enough time, the party starts at 9 P.M"

" FIIIINNNEEEE!" I finally answered.

" Yayyyyy!" she was jumping just like a kid.

" Now get in the car" I smiled.

All the way to the mall, we were laughing, talking and teasing, until she opened a subject that I would have prefered not to talk about.

"So what about you and Niall?" she asked

" What about us?" I replied

"Is there something new since he went to see you at the hospital. "It was sooo romantic." she said excited.

I didnt really tell her the main reason why i was staying at her house. I only told her that i got into a fight with my mom and that she was annoying me. I didnt really comfortable talking about this to anyone. Thats why ive been avoiding niall ....he kept calling me andi kept ignoring his calls.

"No, I'm kind of avoiding him right now" I said honestly.

"WHHHAAATT??! Why? What did he do?" she was in shock.

"He didn't do anything. It's just ... me" I gasped.

She was waiting for more details and i knew she would let it go.

"My mom was such an humiliation. She insulted him in a way. He didnt care about what she said but still."

"Andrea, you shouldn't avoid him because of that. You said it yourself : He didn't care what she said."

How could I explain that? I remember I couldn't sleep because of that. I was sick and tired of my mom's attitude. The way she looks at me, talks to me, all of that! I shoudn't have tell Niall anything about my if you say so mom. You can't imagine how that breaks my heart. Everytime I look throught those eyes, I see the pain she felt when she knew about our accident, and everytime I feel guilty!

" I care" I wasn't in the mood to party anymore. " Maybe it's better if I just say home tonight"

"What? No! Let's change subject" said desperatly my friend before I change my idea. " How's Mr.Koppe? "

Ohh! Find a better subject! He said in front of the class : " Well done Mrs.Lauren, you finally understood and had a 90% on your exam" and everybody looked at me." Or should I say , your retake" I grabbed all my books and stuff and left class upset.
