Hello! Welcome to my story. So, I've had this idea for a while now. Had a what if while watching the show. Decided to try my hand at fanfiction, since I liked the idea and didn't see anyone else doing this specific idea.
My first fanfic that I'm making public is this one so I have high hopes for it.
I'm writing this story in a different style then my purely originals (they aren't yet public) are written.
For example, I'm putting all of the main character's inner thoughts in italics.

We start off in season five episode six.
The team is still hunting the reaper/Foyet. In episode one of season five and the cliffhanger of season four Foyet breaks into Hotch's apartment, shoots, stabs, and basically tortures him. The team is working a case and doesn't know this is happening. Emily goes to find Hotch when he doesn't answer their calls, but finds his apartment empty and bloody. Eventually they find Hotchner in a hospital that Foyet took him too. Reid gets shoot in the leg while working the case and protecting the victim. Foyet has Morgan's stolen badge still. And Hotch's wife and son are hiding in witness protection.
