"Ohhhhhh! Tritaria town just got attacked!" A lady groaned, flicking the canine ears that came from out from her light cherry coloured hair. "Cheer up Gracelyn, it was saved! Look!" Another added, turning the back of the letter around, pointing to the speech that was written of; By four heroes was the town of Tritaria saved! Which made the animal eared gal smile, fist pumping the air. "Good! I was worried that we'd have to detour off of our own mission!", the other lassie giggled, "ah! Let's head back to our home Gracelyn! Have lunch and see what jobs are for us today!" She rubbed her hands together, "Alex you're a weird one for sure," the girl who was saddled with Gracelyn commented with a little smirk, Alex..Short for her Alexander, was her companion.
Alex rubbed the back of her neck and pink blush dusted her complexion, "lunch first! Teasing second!" Alex chuckled, Gracelyn rolled her pink eyes, Alex taking her hand and running back to the cozy little inn they stayed at, which had its own little kitchen. When entered, Gracelyn knew she was the cook of the duo, therefore, knew her duty. Gracelyn kneeled down to the fridge, she began to cook a soup for the two. Alex, who smelt the air and smiled, "being on the road for so long, I miss your cooking!" She giggled, covering her mouth. Gracelyn could only snicker at the comment, her cherry grin soon was faded, "apparently, your uncle was spotted, with the other three," she said, looking over her shoulder, Alex stared up, it was no surprise that her uncle would find a band of demons, it's practically in his nature. "That group means trouble, they may act like heroes but I sensed something sinister in all of them." She stated, Alex tilted her head and scratched the top of her hair, breathing out. "I'm sure my uncle wouldn't of interacted with them if he sensed bad mojo in em," she reassured.
Her ear twitched, "perhaps I'm just being frightened," she turned, pouring the soup into a bowl from a ladle. Gracelyn slid the bowl and a spoon to Alex, and the lass beamed with happiness. Gracelyn got herself a bowl and she sat in front of her, sipping on the wonderful flavours that hit her tongue, though in this satisfaction, it was soon ruined by what felt like a thump. The soup ripping in the bowl, Alex leaning over to observe this, another thump. Gracelyn caught notice of this too, she stood up suddenly, rushing to the window. "Alex!" The cat lady called, and quick to the call was her friend. Smoke was billowing from part of the town, the market to be most certain, a annual yet special time for traders and buyers. Gracelyn and Alex abandoning their delicious soup, bolting out the door, their speed was tremendous when their temporary town was being threatened. The market was in pieces, though people still remained horrified and screaming, in the mix was loud roars and groans to the townsfolk. Graceyln landed on the edge of one of the more stable roofs, staring down at the figure in the centre of all the folk, pointing at the bags that were being filled up with the supplies from the market, Alex came up beside her, when the smoke passed.. A tall demon stood in place, slaving the people to do his bidding. "Dar..." Gracelyn whispered with a growl under her tone, "he didn't track us did he...Oh..I hope this won't be Avangal again..." Alex whined, holding her head. Gracelyn stared down at the ground.. /Yes...Avangal...\
In their youth, only mere children, their hometown Avangal was attacked by the villainous Nazereck and his many minions. A once rival to Zenith, he was a man who strived from the power of the demonic nature, the girls set their life goal to end Nazereck and his minions, at any cost. Their friendship and more was built by this goal, the death of their parents by this attack lives with them, and they wish to avenge that loss."That greedy demon, of course he'd be at the market..." Gracelyn leaped from the roof down to the ground, Alex following. "DAR!!" They both screamed, the helmet covered demon turning, pointing his finger towards them to only force out a cackle. Dar WAS a minion that served under Nazereck, but by the use of bribery and Dars constant greed, he joined Nazereck..Though, Yona, his very sister took his voice as a reminder of his betrayal.
"Don't mock us!" Alex yelled out, Dar grabbed one of the folk and pulled them in, putting his claw under the jewelled necklace the unfortunate soul wore. Pulling it off of their neck, he twirled it around his finger, grunting in amusement. Gracelyn readied her weapon, though she knew Dars weapon was not a sword, but magic he learned under a sorcerer who perished by his own pupil. Dar put his hand out, and Gracelyn was shoved up on the wall tied by glowing shackles, Alex turned, her gaze piercing through the demons crimson eyes. Dar cackled in a low tone, he leaned his lanky body forward, arms touching the ground. He swooped up in front of Alex, pulling her in by her hair, running his fingers down to her earrings, the greedy devil clipped them off before leaping back. Alex looked over her shoulder, a greedy demon was like a moth to light when it came down to shiny and expensive things. Alex bolted to one of the local jewelry shops, she smashed the window and grabbed a gold necklace with a fabulous red gem, she waved in. Dar got easily distracted by this glorious piece of jewelry, he began to swipe at it, Alex pulled it back, waving her finger. "Ah! Ah!" She said, Dar growled and his swipes got far more aggressive. "I'll give it to your when you let Gracelyn go~" Alex cooed, Dar, who groaned in frustration, released Gracelyn. He was tossed the gem, but seconds after staring at in admiration then looking back up, Alex swung the hilt of her blade right into Dars face, which caused him to fall backwards. Gracelyn running up, slamming her own weapon right on his back, Dar roared and flew up in the air. He examined the two girls, he snarled lowly. Sweeping the bags of stolen goods and escaping, Gracelyn and Alex went to chase after him but he was already gone. The town cleared the wreckage, Gracelyn and Alex were pondering their battle earlier. "Our mission to defeat Nazareck seems to be getting noticed by his minions, Dar might've come to test our will," she added, trotting to the window and staring out. "We need to move," Gracelyn zipped up her bag, swinging it over her shoulder. Alex got her little baggie set up, they trotted out of the inn door, faces stern yet confident.
In far distance a male figure stood up proudly to watch the girls venture fourth, stretching the wings on his back..He followed after them.
