Chapter 3

A/N - Just a little warning, in this chapter Adam abuses Troye very badly, and it's reasonably graphic. So you can skip this chapter if you want, it's not like anything important happens other than that.

Troye's POV:

I stumble into the house, barely breathing, barely even thinking straight. Somehow I had the common sense to wipe the tears out of my eyes, but I still wheezed with every attempt at a breath, my throat feels like it's closed up completely.

"B-b-babe? I'm h-home. Adam?"

"Where the fuck have you been?"

Present:

His strong, muscly arms slam me against the wall, knocking any breath I had left out of me. I started to sob, but no tears would come. He shouted at me, yelling, screaming, but it didn't even register.

I am going to die, I thought, because it certainly felt like that.

Adam pulled me up by my hair. I almost yelled out in pain, but I didn't have the strength. He was asking me where I was, bellowing at me to say why I'd been late, but my inability to reply only enraged him further. I felt his fist collide with my stomach, his spit spraying onto my face as he continued to yell.

"FUCKING USELESS! DISHONEST! UNTRUSTWORTHY! STUPID! SPITEFUL!" With every word he delivered another blow to whatever body part he could reach, harder and more forceful each time.

It was getting worse, the asthma. I gasped in sudden pain as I tried to speak to him, explain everything. When I touched my face to determine why, my jaw turned out to be covered in blood.

The only thing stopping me from falling was Adam's angry grip. My vision began to go black at the edges.

He let go as he shoved (well, almost threw) me across the room. I heard the sound of glass smashing as a numb pain enfulged my body. I don't remember anything after that.
