Part 9

MONDAY!!! First day of work. School time was moving fast, it was already fifth period. I managed to get away from Justin as much as possible and I haven’t seen Aaron either which is a relief. While walking to my locker my thoughts trailed to that night in the forest, that girl, the ring. Everything was so confusing, I wish I could at least explain it to myself somehow, but even that wasn’t possible. Knowing I couldn’t tell anyone else was even more aggravating…. I was all alone. But I couldn’t give up, I have to keep going, to be honest I don’t really have a choice, it is what it is.

I finished putting my books neatly o my locker and shut it closed. I turned around to walk away but a dark figure was blocking my way. I let out a shaking breath while looking up to see Aron.

“Hi” he smirked while placing a hand on the locker behind me.

“Hi” I said back trying to escape from the other side but I then placed his other hand on the locker… I was blocked.

“I was trying to find you today, you’re a hard person to find” he said.

“really?” I said making an unknowing face. He nodded in response

It was quiet then, so much tension ran between us but I couldn’t tell if it was good or bad. The bell suddenly rang making me jolt. I pushed his arm aside but it didn’t budge.

“I have to get to class” I said scared

“of course” he said and then his hand fell

I walked away as fast as possible, what the hell was that? I don’t even know the guy, he was so strange.

Finally last period was over. I waited for my buss to arrive, I was so nervous yet excited. First day at work. I couldn’t wait! The time was taking its time and it seems as if I was waiting here an hour. I looked at my phone, its fifteen minute late! Shit.

I heard someone honk, I looked up to see Aron. As if this day couldn’t get more shitty.

“Hop in” he said smiling.

“its okay thanks, im just waiting for my bus”

He twisted his lips. “come on, you can’t compare” he was right.

I rolled my eyes. “I’m fine”

He then opened the door for me. “Im just taking you to wherever you need, I don’t bite” he smiled

I couldn’t believe I was actually doing this… I walked forwards and stepped into his car. This was crazy but I couldn’t be late on my first day.

“see, that wasn’t hard” he stepped on the gas.

Just as we drove out of school I saw my buss arriving ,I cursed myself in so many ways. I was tempted to hit my head against the window.

“so, where to miss” he smiled, taking small peeks at me.

“I need to be at cup O’coffee” I said. “please” I then added.

“cup O’coffee it is” he smiled.

He was so charming yet everything in my body tensed evertime he was near me, my mind was screaming at me to get as far away from him. I am trying to listen to it but something keeps me going towards him. I have to stop this nonsenses.

We finally got to cup O’coffee, he parked the car and looked at me.

“thank you” I forced a smile.

“any time” he said, his eyes dropped to my ring. Okay that was it, I opened the door and got out.

He then drove off. I took a deep breath in and the let it out. I walked into Cup O’coffee, smiling as the same guy at the bar looked at me.
