your mom and dad were delighted to find out what your quirk was. knowing it was extremely unique. not a lot of heroes get to have that certain quirk.

sadly, it didn't help much at battle. you were teased about that a lot. specially from this person you just met at ua.

"what's your quirk anyway?" izuku midoriya curiously asks. "it's the red string of fate."

"huh? wh- what's that?" he asks, fiddling with his string. "it shows me the strings of fate. the strings are tied to one's finger and are supposedly connected to the person they'd end up with." you answer, looking at his string. "so like, a soulmate?"

"yeah, like that. a soulmate." you say, looking down at your fingers. "hey, (name)! who's my soulmate?" izuku excitedly asks.

you follow his string to where it's connected. "ochako. ochako uraraka." you say, still staring at ochako as she chats with all the other girls in class 1-a.

you notice izuku's cheeks turn red before he puts his hands to his face. "i.. i honestly like like ochako. and.. her being my soulmate, i-"

you take his hands away from his face as you hold them tightly. "it's okay, izuku. you can do it. confess your love to her or something." you say with an encouraging smile.

"t-thanks, (name). appreciate it, a lot!" he nervously says as he looks at ochako's direction.

"what a pathetic quirk." you hear katsuki bakugo say. "shut up, bakugo." mina ashido immediately replies back. you look at katsuki's fingers, he also has a string of fate yet you don't know where it's connected.

mina ashido has been your bestfriend since you transferred to ua. you space out as mina walks up to you and hugs you, "hey (name), don't listen to bakugo over there. you have a unique quirk and you have no reason to be ashamed of it." she says with a big smile.

"okay, mina. whatever you say." you let out a little giggle as you hug her back. being honest to yourself, you've admired bakugo a lot. from his quirk to his skills. he's that kind of guy you'd look up to.

"are you- staring at bakugo?" mina curiously asks as she pulls away from the hug. "n-no. i-" you stutter as you feel yourself blush at the question.

she cuts you off, "tell me, who's my soulmate?" you look at her fingers, following the string. you stare at her soulmate's fingers in shock. "so, who is it?"

"katsuki bakugo."
