Heather didn't want to be nervous. She didn't want to think about all the pitying looks she would be receiving from the cast of people she mainly despises. The pitying would either stem from losing her Dad or just having Chris as her Dad.
As she walked into the main lobby of the funeral home, she remembered the day that her and Chris first met up as Father and Daughter

After Heather let out her desire online to reach out to her real father, a lot of her friends urged her. Her mother gave her his phone number years ago, but the anxiety of reaching out always became too much for her. So she stayed away. That was until that day.
The day before she finally called the number and got in touch with his secretary. Heather told her that she was his daughter and wanted to meet him for real. It took a bit of explaining but the secretary finally agreed to leave a message. Then that night he sent her a text and agreed to meet up the next morning.

She was on cloud nine. She always wondered about who he would be and what he was like. She was going to find out after all these years. She was going to finally understand another part of herself that she never really got to explore. All she had to do was look for the black haired man with a blue shirt and cargo shorts in this very coffee shop.

However, what she didn't expect was to find Chris McClean sitting in that shop. The man who ruined her life for years. He kept trying to talk to Heather while she waited on her Dad to finally arrive. But he wouldn't budge off. So she finally gave him and told him to leave her alone while she waited for her dad. But Chris next words would ring her mind for the next following months.

"Why look around when he's right next to you.."

"Heather," Alejandro said as he turned to her which knocked her out of her memory, "you okay? You look a little.. pale?"

Heather shook her head, "I'm fine. I was just remembering to tell my Mom to put Valencia's hair rollers in tonight for when she slept," she lied before taking her phone out to call her Mom and walking away.

Alejandro and Duncan both pressed their lips into thin lines. They knew she wasn't in the best state of mind, even if she wasn't ready to admit it.

"Come on," Gwen urged, "everyone is in the gathering room. She'll be okay, she probably just wants some space."

The two men nodded before following Gwen down the hall to the gathering room. It was a bit odd to stand in a room with the original cast again, full of chairs, and with Chris opened casket in the very far end where everyone seemed to be avoiding.
"This feels morbid," Duncan whispered to Alejandro as they found everyone gathered around the finger sandwiches that was laid out.

"We just need to be on our best behavior," Alejandro warned, "and hope that everyone else is too."

But it was at that very moment when the two men got lifted up into a bear hug by none other than Owen. "Duncan! Al! I can't believe you guys came," the big oaf exclaimed in excitement, "I mean I knew you would for Heather, but I'm still so excited to see you."

Duncan and Alejandro both felt their eyes bulge out before being set down. "Yeah well-," Duncan slowly nodded as he rubbed his ribs, which felt crushed, "we all had to."

The big blonde just laughed as he slapped his hands onto their backs, which Alejandro quickly moved away from. "Yeah! It's so crazy. Plus you guys are together which is also crazy."
