Chapter Nine

Sunday

A couple of months past, and you were able to speak properly after months of therapy. On top of that, Hidan and Kakazu were arrested and were both given a life sentence since they had other crimes on top of that. Because of that, you didn't have live in fear anymore.

Konan was with you, you were working and basically going on with your normal life. One day you were at home, with Konan.

Konan said she was going to introduce you to a friend from work. You were excited to meet Konan's friends. You usually didn't meet new people so this was something that you looked forward too.

Then a knock on the door was heard. Konan then opened the door. There, a man was revealed.

The man had orange hair, piercings, and purple eyes. He was quite tall, and not to mention handsome. In fact, way too handsome.

"Oh it's you Nagato!" Konan exclaimed.

(A/N: I chose Nagato instead of Pain since it's a more realistic name than Pain. Nagato just looks like Tendo Pain)

"Oh hello Konan." he said.

"(Y/N), this is Nagato, Nagato, this is (Y/N)." Konan introduced.

"Ah. So your Konan's sister. She has told so much about you." he said as he offered you a handshake.

You took his hand and shook it suspiciously. You didn't know why you weren't fond of Nagato. Was this feeling hatred, suspicion, or even jealousy?

You didn't quite know why you were jealous. His blazing hair, his pretty eyes, and overall his handsome looks could steal Konan away from you anytime he wanted.

You tried to scratch the thought out of your head. 'So what if they get together? Konan deserves to be happy. I shouldn't get in the way of that.' you thought.

But this man could steal Konan away from you. The only friend you had in life. The only sister you had in life. And your only family left in life.

And Konan could abandon you, just like that. 'She would never do that.' you thought.

But no matter you try to push the idea away, your mind kept insisting that such a thing was possible.

Why were jealous of your sister? For some reason, you wanted to keep her, and never let anyone take her away.

"Uh you've been holding my hand for two minutes now." Nagato spoke as you snapped out of your thoughts.

You quickly pulled away your hand from his. "Uh- sorry." you said.

"It's alright." he said.

"Hey. I prepared food for all of us. You're free to join Nagato." Konan said.

"No thank you, I'm good." he said.

"No, I insist you eat Nagato." Konan said.

"No thank you Konan." he said.

Konan looked at him with a smile. A smile that probably said: Eat with us or suffer.

"F-Fine." Nagato said.

There, you guys had dinner together. With you, still having suspicion around Nagato. And Konan still being oblivious to it.
