A wolf like beast probably the same kind I killed, A fairy. It looked at me. Hatred, and disgust is all i saw in its eyes. It spoke, "You killed him, Didn't you?" I looked at him in fear if I didn't answer he would tear me limb from limb. I nodded my head, I knew if I spoke my voice would crack and show fear. He looked at me growling "It is your fault he's dead, now you pust pay the price!' he snarled and I agreed for I didn't have much to live for anyways. He looked surprised, he must've thought I wouldn't die willingly. As he slowly walked up to me I felt my head go fuzzy and down I fell. I never got to meet my mother, because she died, but now I will see her in peaceful sleep.
When I woke up, I was tied against a tree, the fairy...didn't kill me? "Ugh..my head...what happened?" The fairy came back and looked at me in surprise. "Do you lousy humans not know how magic works?" I was shocked, I don't know what to say to this beast in wolf form. "Why, why didn't you kill me? Are you waiting to torture me?" he chuckled at me and said "What do you mean human? Why would I kill you, or for a fact torture you?" I gave him a snarky yet suggestive attitude. "Well HOW WOULD I KNOW IF YOUR GONNA KILL ME? YOU SAID I HAD A PRICE TO PAY WHAT IS THAT PRICE?" he chuckled "Typical, humans, you all think paying a price is a bad thing. But I ask of you to come to the fairy lands and stay imprisoned at my humble abode." little did I know what he meant by imprisoned, but if I cross the fairylands that would make me an outcast, I would never be able to come back. I took a deep breath and nodded my head, but then i remembered my mother's silver lined bow. "Wait! What about my weapon!" he looked unhappy "Tch...a trivial matter where we're going you wont need that silly thing" I became flustered, I can't believe he's gonna make me beg to go get it. "It's important to me...Please!" Eventually he sighed in approval, and nodded as if saying let's go get it.
When I found my bow I became so happy, I smiled at the fairy. He looked away as if he didn't care or seem interested. I was so happy just to have it on me, of course he took my arrows. We walked for a while, Neither I or the fairy wanted to talk. When i was walking I kept feeling a sharp pain in my ankle. At one point I fell to my knees, I winced and the fairy looked at me curious why I was in pain. "What is it human?" when I tried to stand I fell back again. "My ankle, it's been bothering me, this whole time." he looked at my ankle and then a ray of light surrounded it. Magic. He's healing me, why would you heal someone that killed your friend? "I'm sorry..I'm sorry I killed your friend." He looked surprised "I am no longer mad about him.." "what was his name?" I asked but he didn't answer. I started to think about my sister and my father. "Do you know what happened? To my family?" he shook his head. And then I remembered the black feather, how I held it in my hand, how its beauty had calmed me. I sighed wondering where it was, and then I checked my pockets. My feather was gone, my family probably dead, i'm a soon to be outcast, and i'm stuck with a fairy who is very hot headed. I'm out of luck it would seem.
