(hello readers, this is the first story i've posted here, sorry if it's bad, hope you enjoy it though, fell free to say its bad or voice your opinions-the smol potato btw this isset in 2150)
Clove frowned as the spring of a clock she was fixing fell out again, frustrated, she stuck her fingers inside and felt around for anything that could possibly have caused this.
She felt something hit her finger and pulled it out, being careful not to damage anything else. She smiled in triumph as she pulled out a piece of wood that was blocking the cogs from turning, Clove put it aside and placed the spring back in its proper place and closed the clock back up.
She stood up and wiped her oily hands on rag and walked out of the dark back room, into the storefront to put the clock back onto the shelf,
She pushed a pile of magazines out of the way, out of the corner of her eye she thought she saw a light flashing in the shadow of a radio, but a soon as she saw it, it disappeared.
Clove frowned, 'that was weird' she thought to herself. She shrugged it off and walked back into the repair room and started to fix another broken clock.
A few hours later Clove's eyes started to droop. Her head flew up as she dropped the screwdriver she was holding onto the floor with a loud thump. She rubbed her eyes and looked up at he clock,it read 9.06, she decided to call it a night.
Clove wrapped up the device she was working on in an oil cloth and grabbed her coat off the peg on the wall and locked the door after her and walked past her manager who was smoking against the counter.
Clove waved a quick goodbye and hurried out the door into the side street.
The neon signs illuminated the street in a variety of purples, blues and greens. Clove's face glowed and her brown eyes twinkled as she walked on the road passing parked cars and bikes on the side of street, the smog filling up Clove's sinuses and making the air thick and foggy blurring the colours and lines together .
She felt calm and at peace at the familiarity of her surroundings. She turned into an alley and jumped up on some boxes that were stacked against the back wall and jumped over the wall and out onto the main street. The lights were dulled down and atmosphere was than the backstreets. The crowds have gathered for the release of the new game that everyone was playing, Clove just put on her headphones and squeezed past h forming crowd, she didn't have any interest in the games that are being released now a days.
She sighed and put her hands in her pockets trying to avoid the people who were flocking into the shop like a herd of sheep.
A while alter she arrived back at her house and. She unlocked the door and put her coat on the back of the door.
She went into the kitchen and turned on the kettle and took out a packet of instant noodles.
She tied her blue hair up and leaned against the island waited for her noodles to cook. When her noodles were cooked, she sat on her couch and turned the TV on.
The news came on and Clove leaned back into the cushions and started to eat her noodles, the news lady shuffled her papers and cleared her throat.
"And in other news tonight, two more teenages hve disappered in the Kangokou region, the witnesses says that right before they mysteriously disappeared into a back alley their eyes were glazed over and a look that could only be described as blank, if you have any extra information please contact the kangokou police department, thank you and goodnight"
'hmm that's awfully close to here' Clove put her fork down and clicked off the TV, she got off the couch and poured out the remaining water into the sink and washed her fork. She then opened the fridge and grabbed a bottle of coke, and headed back to the couch, she sat down and put on a movie, she leaned back and glued her eyes onto the plasma screen.
She slowly fell into a deep sleep.
