Chapter 2

6 Weeks Later*

Carol's POV*

It had been a few weeks since I met (Y/N).

She's still a little shy and timid.

I've noticed her getting up and moving around a lot more but she's still closed off.

I landed on Xandar because I had a meeting planned with Nova Prime about The Kree Empire and (Y/N).

While I was getting ready to leave I saw (Y/N) on her bed sleeping.

I thought she looked cute while sleeping.

I walked over and pulled the covers over her.

A small smile found it's way onto her face as I did that.

I smiled and headed out to the Nova Corps Headquarters.

I flew across the city and ended up at the Nova Corps Headquarters . 

I walked in to be greeted by Nova Prime.

Nova Prime asked "Hello Carol. Do you have an update on 'The Eradicator'?".

I said "Yep. I took away it's power source away leaving it a hunk of metal floating through space.".

She said "Walk with me.".

We started to walk through the Headquarters.

She asked "And what was this power source you took away?".

I said "It was a Lesser Celestial Being. I have her on the ship I used to get to 'The Eradicator'. She's a little shy and closed off but overall, she's okay.".

Nova Prime contemplated for a bit.

Nova Prime said "Well that's good at least. Make sure to keep her around in case we ever need her.".

I nodded and asked "Is there any other Kree business you want me to attend to?". 

She thought about it for a bit and said "There might be some in the outer rim if you and your Lesser Celestial Being are up to it.".

I said "I'm on it. And I'll ask her about it on the way.".

I said my goodbyes to Nova Prime and soon headed out of the Nova Corps Headquarters and back to my ship.

I entered to see (Y/N) still asleep but she was tossing and turning like crazy.

I sat down on her bed and grabbed her swinging arms with one hand.

I cradled her head in my lap while I restrained her arms.

A Few Hours Later*

(Y/N) slowly opened her eyes and blushed when she looked up at me.

She turned away and I let go of her arms.

I asked "Are you okay (Y/N)?".

She sat up and said "Um... yeah... I mean... yes I'm fine.".

I stood up and asked "Y'know I'm here if you need anything right?".

She nodded.

I headed over to the pilots chair and said "We have a mission.".

She asked "What's the mission?".

I said "There's Kree activity in the outer rim the Nova Corps wants us to check out.".

She said "Okay, let's go.".

One Round Of Spacial Jumping Later*

We arrived in the outer rim.
