Hi all, after seven whole years I'm getting back into fiction writing and decided to revisit this duology. I've now posted chapter one of the sequel to this book, The Ravaged Crown. It's not long, but it's what it needed to be in the aftermath of what happened to Theodoracius. There are longer chapters to come, I promise.
As is to be expected, my writing style has evolved with me throughout the years. I'll get to editing the first book, but I'd like to continue working on the second concurrently. In this sequel, you can expect better dialogue, better character development, less telling/more showing, and overall a more mature voice (take that to mean what you will). I also made an important change: Maarit's name is now Maaritsia, pronounced Mah-rit-see-uh.
I hope you enjoy the sequel as much as—but preferably more than—you enjoyed this book.
