Remembering Him - Chapter 1

I wake up, and it's a typical Monday morning. I struggle to get out of bed but when I eventually do I reach for my phone and check my social media.

I have a message from my best friend, Zoey. "Be at your house in 15 mins' WHAT. I rush out of bed and take a shower and quickly throw on some clothes. "Bye mom" I yell as I run out the door. Zoey's there waiting for me and I run over. She's there with my other friend Megan.

"Hey!" I gasp out of breath. "Hi Shai" Zoey laughs. We missed our bus so we literally run to school.

My first class is science. None of my friends are in this class, but my cousin Ansel is. Theo's also in this class. Theo James. We spoke once. We were 9 and we were at a birthday party. He only ever spoke two sentences to me. "Why are you alone? Do you wanna come play with me?" Those words were attractive when I was nine. Even then his voice was special, he spoke calmly and made me feel special.

He keeps looking at me. Dunno why I mean we've been in the same class for like 3 years. Then I realise he's looking at my book. He walks over and he smiles at me.

"Hey, what's that book you have?" I stutter awkwardly, looking flustered.I then reply "Oh um..it's called..Four...it's part of the Divergent series." He looks up and grins. "I like that series too" Then he walks back over to his chair.
