Shailene's P.O.V -
I can't stop thinking about him. He still looks at me every period we have together. I need to speak to him more.
I'm in the library getting some books for my History project. And..oh crap. It's him.
"Hey! Shai, is it?"
"Oh hi...umm...Theo."
"So um I was thinking..."
I ran away. I don't know why. I just did. I got so nervous around him. He probably thinks I'm a total weirdo now.
I have to go back. But I can't. Damn. I need to call him. But I don't have his number. Whadda I do?
Theo's P.O.V -
She ran away. Why? No girl's ever done that to me before. But, no girl's ever been like Shailene. She's special.
I hope I get to see her again.
(TIME LAPSE)
Shailene's P.O.V -
I'm getting ready for dinner with my family. I flick through my clothes and find my outfit. I decide on a black lace dress, with my hair curled so it falls over my shoulders and my new nude heels. I think that's fine.
I arrive to the restaurant with my mom, dad and my brother, Miles.
We sit at the table near the window and I anxiously check to make sure I look alright. Everyone here looks fancier than us.
The waiter comes up to take our order, and it's not until he turns his head that I realise. It's him. It's Theo.
"Shai?"
I breathe in. All my family turn to look at me.
"Oh um..mom, dad. This is Theo. He goes to my school."
"Oh um, it's very nice to meet you Theo." My mom replies. My dad just gives him a really weird look. Theo looks anxious.
"Erm, mom I actually forgot. Me and Theo have a date tonight. I think I owe him an apology"
Theo looks up and smiles.
"Bye, mom"
We're walking out the restaurant and he holds my hand as we walk. At first I hesitated but, you know what. Why not?
"So a date?" He laughs.
"Yeah." I smiled.
"But you barely know me."
"Well you can't be worse than the guys I do know." I smile.
This couldn't be more perfect.
