"Why must I leave my trident behind?" Percy whined for the third time as they retreated to their rooms.
Nico's eye twitched, and he resisted the urge to smack his cousin upside the head.
"If it makes you feel better, I had to leave my shield and hunting equipment," Thalia said and crossed her arms.
"At least you still have your spear."
"Perce, you know why we can't bring your trident along — just as I cannot bring Juno's gladius and we can't use any of our weapons. We're supposed to act like new, on-the-run demigods found by a satyr," Jason reasoned, pushing up his spectacles.
Hazel nodded in agreement. "And besides, Thalia's spear is similar to the ones at the camp and a common weapon for demigods to wield, so the campers will not think much of it. Riptide, Ivlivs, Falcata and Spatha are distinctive weapons that will immediately give away our identities."
Percy groaned. "I know, but that didn't help."

The next morning......"Alright. Is everyone ready?" Jason asked once they had gathered by the doorsteps of the palace and bid their goodbyes to their godly family.
They had each packed a small backpack filled with clothes and some other personal items that didn't show any evidence of them being children of the Big Three.
"Yes," the others said in unison.
"Let's go."
As they passed through the village, the residents bowed at the sight of the royals. It had an uncomfortable to them at first, but they soon grew accustomed to it, it meant that they were being respected as a royal of Olympus. In fact, they would have found it rather odd if a stranger did not bow in their presence.
"I feel kind of strange......incomplete in a way, without some sort of crown on my head," Hazel said, touching the top of her head where a golden laurel crown used to be.
Nico sighed longingly. "We all do, sister."
With a final look at the palace, they each travelled via their own way of travel: Jason and Thalia by lightning, Hazel and Nico by shadow and Percy via vapour.

Half-Blood Hill, Long Island SoundThey travelled to a few metres away from the bottom of Half-Blood Hill, where they were told to meet their guide to the camp.
"Um, I don't see any—" Percy cut himself off as he heard the sound of reed pipes being played.
Following the sound, they found their satyr friend, Grover Underwood sitting under a tree while playing the reed pipes.
Like Rachel, Grover — who regularly came to Olympus as a messenger — was one of their only friends, with the whole 'children of the Big Three must not exist' thing and all that. He was a cheerful and ambitious young satyr, aspiring to do what many satyrs have been attempting for centuries — to find the great god Pan, lord of the wild.
"Grover?" Thalia called.
The satyr yelped in surprise, dropping his reed pipes. He turned around and gasped at the sight of the five royals.
"Your Majesties!" he exclaimed, falling into a deep bow.
Percy chuckled. "Rise, my friend. And don't you remember what I have told you before? Drop the formalities."
"But sir—"
"Yeah, we're friends, there is no need for such ," Jason insisted.
Grover acquiesced. "Alright, as you wish. Now, let's go. So many of you in the same place will surely attract monsters."
