I woke up to the sound of cats yowling and paw steps thundering everywhere. Flame stood over me waking me up by shaking me with his paw. What is going on? I asked nervously. He stood panting and his ear had been sliced leaving blood dripping down his face. The clans by the lake have attacked! He hissed angrily. I bolted up and dashed out of the cave-guards den, into the fight. I stood pacing not sure how to help. I saw Sky, a white she-kit looking terrified as two apprentices lashed out at her. Sky fell to the ground a trickle of blood came from her eye, I knew she was hurt. I raced over slicing an apprentices ear mercilessly and clawed at the other one. I picked up Sky her sister Needle shaking in fear. I yowled at Flame to help me with Needle but he didn't hear me and continued fighting. Sky, and Needle's mother Holly, was laying on the ground motionless. I wailed knowing she was dead then quickly stopped. Crying wasn't going to help Sky and Needle. I looked at Needle then put Sky on the ground. Needle's Black pelt was still shaking, I sighed knowing they were only four moons old. Come on kits we're going somewhere safe. I picked up Sky with my mouth, and laid down so Needle could climb onto my back. Hold on I mumbled through Sky's fur. Needle nodded and slid her sharp claws into my skin I didn't complain though. I raced through cats fighting and motionless cats on the ground accepting they were dead. I stopped at the edge of the cave, here the waterfall poured down from the cave. I braced myself then jumped through the water, landing in snow. I shivered but told myself to get it together. I raced up the mountain dodging everything that was in my way. I ended up at the snow covered top. Stay here kits, I need to go help. Needle nodded but Sky was still shaking her eye closed, open your eye I demanded. And when Sky opened her eye, I was horrified, it was white, and swollen. I panted knowing she was blinded. Sky, sweetie I'm so sorry. She nodded I knew she already knew what happened to her. Silver? She asked quietly. Does this mean I can't be a prey-hunter anymore? I sat down and looked at her a pained expression on my face. Sky, sometimes bad things happen but we have to accept it. You may as well give up. I meowed sadly. She nodded. Needle curled up next to her sister and I herded them into a nearby bush, I also smeared some mud to hide their scent. Stay here and be quiet! I hissed then raced down to the cave. Flame was fighting two cats bigger then he was, and I was so mad I sprang at one and clawed at his fur we got locked in a fight. Oh great, I'm going to die! Not like this! I wanted to have kits and a mate! Flame was stuck beneath his opponent struggling and panting, I could tell he was getting tired and the other cat was going to kill him if Flame didn't win the fight. And yet I was under my opponent also struggling. I suddenly bolted up and I bit down on the cats throat so hard I could feel the blood fill my mouth. The cat looked shocked then fell over, dead. I gasped but didn't do anything just bowl at Flame's match and leave claw marks all over his back. Flame backed up and jumped back into the fight but I pulled him out of it. Flame! Sky and Needle's mother is dead! Their on top of the mountain, go and help then! Your obviously hurt! He tried to decline but my pleading gaze brought him to reality. He nodded the put his head on my shoulder. Silver, please don't die, I love you and I can't go on without you! I sat not sure how to respond, I love flame but right now is not the time... I love you too, I said not doing anything about the purr in my voice but go and help Sky and Needle! He nodded and raced out of the cave. A she-cat with a ginger pelt jumped at me pinning me down. I clawed at her muzzle but it seemed to not affect her. She pushed down harder. I could feel her breath touch my fur and I shivered knowing this cat was evil. She stopped clawing at me though and I could see great authority was in her gaze. Do you know who I am? She asked roughly. I shivered, no I don't. She pushed down again this time on my chest her claws extended. You could be of use to my clan, she snarled. Shadowclan regroup! What seemed like an army of cats gathered up in a group. The she-cat pushed me down and I could feel blood pour out of my paw. I got up and limped towards "Shadowclan" two toms sat on either side of me I could see their claws about to attack if I even moved a whisker. The same she-cat stood in front of I could tell she was thinking. I stood taller ready to defend myself if needed. Whitestar, I've got what you have asked for. A white Tom who I was guessing was "shadowclan" leader came in front of me and the ginger she-cat. Very good Sparkclaw. So sparkclaw is her name, I'm never going to forget that. I cringed at the pain taking over my face, whitestar noticed and I could tell he didn't know what to do. Silver, you meowed smoothly. Your coming with us back to shadowclan. We need you there.
