Warm ruby red blood trickles allover me,staining my white t-shirt. I'm filled with a wave of agony so sharp that tears stream down my face, joining the blood.

A young man lands beside us his eyes full of anger. His eyes fix On the woman then watches as I howl in pain.

"Martha!how could you? She's just a child! Move a side."he growled angrily.

The woman -Martha-obeyed. He produced an old rag from his shirt picket, using it to clean the wound. Next he leaned forward, scared he would injure me I struggled "its ok. I won't hurt you."he whispered softly. His hot breath hit my wound. He tore a scrap of his shirt off and used it as a bandage for my neck. The pain suddenly vanished. My vision blurred and everything went black.

____________________________________I awoke to the sun shining vibrantly through the curtains. I pulled the patchwork quilt off and climbed out of bed. This room was not familiar. Beside the bed was a small wooden table and on top lay a vest Top,joggers and a hoodie. I pulled on the clothes and wandered onto the landing.

"goodmorning miss. I'm glad to see you've woken at last."the man greeted me.

I remembered him now. He had  a red bandana tied around his jet black hair. His emerald green eyes twinkled and a wide pearl white grin spread across his face. He was the man that saved me. He healed me.

"how long was I asleep? Who are you?where am I?"

He slowly shook his head "you ask a lot of questions. You were asleep for two days,we thought you wouldn't make it. My name is Danni and right now you are in the house I share with Christa,Mark,Jake and Martha." I shuddered the mention of her name. I saw her freckled face leaning towards me,the light bouncing off her fangs, her wavy hair brushing my face.

"are you ok?"he whispered beckoning me into a room then forcing me to sit down.

I nodded. "you remember don't you? You remember what happened."again I nodded as he spoke."I tried my best to heal you that night but I'm afraid I can't take back the memories."

I ran my hand over my neck. A bandage was wrapped tightly around it.

I'll be permanently scared. Physically aswell as mentally.
