Nandhini's POV:
"Manik leave me na. I have to go what if someone comes" I whispered and tried to push him. Instead of leaving me he tightened his grip around my waist and kept nuzzling in my neck.
"Noone will come and besides we are going to get married in next week" he said looking at my eyes and leaned in to kiss me but I immediately blocked him by placing my palm in front making him glare at me.
"Going to happen,not yet. So till then" I pushed him and giggled
"Nandu yaar" he said annoyingly
"Manik" my voice suddenly became low
"Hey what happened" Manik came and cupped my face
"I am scared, I still can't believe that dadi and maa agreed to this marriage. You know they always had this disliking towards me and Rishi bhai. And now they agreed for ours and Rishi bhai and Maya's wedding. So I still--"
"Shhh Nandu, aren't you thinking too much. I know they both had a disliking infact you can say hatred" my face immediately fell which didn't went unnoticed by Manik.
"Come on Nandu they are not modern they were still stuck in class and caste but they loves me and maya more. For them our happiness matters. Yeah first they didn't accept but eventually they did na" he is right but
"Now don't stress too much my soon to be bride. I hate when my love is in stress. I always love her being all smiley. So common give that bright smile which I die for" I slapped his arms and smiled brightly. He took me in his arms and kissed my head.
I hope Manik. I really hope that everything goes well but still this weird feeling. I don't why that maa and dadi are not really happy with this marriage. Infact they really hate me and Rishabh bhai why because we are not from the upper middle class and we are not of same caste. I don't know the theory behind this. We all are humans, we eat the same, we live in the same place but still we are divided by the man made caste.
When I was a child I couldn't able to understand their hatred to be honest I doesn't even care because Manik and Maya was always there for us. Yes we are childhood friends and neighbours. Maya and me are same class and Manik was one year senior to us and Rishabh is one year senior to Manik.
Our friendship took a new chapter when Manik said he loves me out of some stupid jealousy in our high school from there we are the couple and Maya confessed her feeling to Rishi bhai when Bhai left the school to college. We both are happy a blissful life until one day Maya's mom that is Manik's Chachi started to talk about her marriage. Without a ounce of fear she said she loves Rishi bhai and wants to marry him and Chachi is always the sweetest lady who agreed immediately she always says that me and Rishi bhai are very responsible.
Even Maya's father and Manik's father agreed to the alliance but dadi and Manik's maa didnt accept they had a big fight on this one thing leds to another, in angry Manik also confessed that he loves me.
After lots of fight and convincing they agreed to our marriage. My thoughts are brought back by a loud voice.
"What are you guys doing here" a angry filled voice reached my ears making me forcefully come out of Manik's arms as he is still holding me. He rolled his eyes at the person, who is non other than maa's friends daughter
"Alya... What are YOU doing here"? Manik asked with a irritated tone and pulled me through my saree pallu when I was about to leave the place.
"Manik leave me. Everyone in the dining hall must me waiting."
"Oh yes darling, I came here to take you everyone is looking for you" she came and snaked her arms around his arms and glared at me.
What is wrong with this girl, she is acting like I am stealing her fiance when in reality she is getting all touchy with my husband. Manik removed her hands and pulled me closer by place his hands on waist.
"Come Love, Let's go" I smiled at him.

"Bhai what am I hearing, you had broken the FD that Nani gave it to you. Why bhai and what's the need of these many clothes and that too all are expensive"?
"Oh ho I think because of the marriage stress my sweet little sister forgets that she is getting married so obviously you need new clothes darling" he chuckled but I am damn serious today
"Bhai why are doing this, already you withdrew all your saving and now the FD that Nani gave you and you are not even taking my savings. Bhai you also need to understand you are going to get married and you know right if Manik comes to know about this he will tell at me" Bhai held my hand and made me sit in the sofa and knelt down in front of me.
"Nandu, you are my only sister and only family and it's my sister wedding I want to celebrate it like a festival infact it's a real festival for me. I want to fulfil our mama papa wishes they want you to be a independent girl which they did, they want a understanding husband for their daughter which you got and they want to celebrate their princess wedding which I am fulfilling" My tears are flowing Continuously yes we lost our maama and papa in an accident few years ago.
"And besides do you think I don't know how dadi and Manik's mother taunting you. I don't want you to suffer after marriage what they want lot of jewelry, dress and a good amount in your bank right,so I am doing all that I can. Nothing much baby. And it's my right on my sister which no one can snatch including my sister. Understand" He pulled my nose lightly.
"Bhaiii" I whined and hugged him. Please god let everything happen smoothly.

"So where are you going" Navya asked me with a mischievous smile.
"Nowhere I am going to sleep that's all" I said packing my stuff.
"Oh girl I am asking about your Honeymoon" she dashed my shoulder a blush creeped on my cheeks.
"Navya you---" I stopped when I heard a loud bang at the door and there stood Cabir bhai, Manik's friend panting for air. I rushed towards him
"Cabir bhai!! What-"
"Nandu come with me right now" he held my hand and started running towards Manik's home. I am not getting good vibes. When I reached the entrance the site took away my breath.
