“koo, please just try to go. it’s a long drive.”
your very adorable but very stubborn bunny stomps his feet, crossing his arms and pouting at you. “no, mommy. i told you. i don’t need to go.”
you can’t help but still feel your heart race a little each time he calls you that. you’d tried to get him to call you by your name at first, when you’d first brought him home from the facility, but he’d insisted. says it makes him feel safe.
jungkook looks at you with a little frown on his face, brows furrowed but doe eyes still starry and pleading.
you roll your eyes. “okay, kookie, but if you have to go, we’re not stopping. you’ll just have to hold it.”
a self-satisfied grin replaces the frown on his face, bunny teeth peeking out as his eyes and nose scrunch up cutely.
“don’t worry mommy, i’ll be okay.”
he’s not okay. less than an hour into the drive, you see him start to squirm in the passenger seat, thighs pressing together, squeezing his hands between them. you’re sure that if you were a bunny hybrid too you’d be able to smell his distress.
he lasts another fifteen minutes before he whines audibly.
“m-mommy,” he mumbles, peering sideways at you before staring back down pointedly at his turned-in feet.
“yes, bun?” you say nonchalantly, feigning ignorance. you love it when he’s all shy, love to push him. you know he loves it too.
“c-can we — um, do you need to get gas?”
you glance over briefly to see him gnawing at his lower lip, eyes almost watery, floppy ears pressed flat against his head. he’s precious.
“no, i have plenty to make the trip, honey. is everything okay?” you keep your eyes on the road.
“y-yeah,” he says dejectedly. out of the corner of your eye, you see one of his ears flop down into his face.
a few minutes later, he mumbles something unintelligible.
“what was that, kookie?” your voice is laced with concern.
