I staggered down the steep, slippery slope. Quickly I lost my balance and fell face first grazing my stomach on the hard ground, but I was still falling. My stomach was hurting and hurting more with each passing millisecond. But in front of me was a rock jutting out from the stony surface. Hurriedly I reached out scraping my arms but... It all happened in slow motion, I felt my fingers touch the rock first, then my palms and the sudden jolt rocking my body, but it didn't stop me completely. My face slowly moved downward towards the rock, I tried pulling it up but felt pain shooting through my chin as it hit the rock. But when I thought I was safe the rock snapped and I was sent tumbling down the remaining distance.
I was on the ground looking up the cliff I had just fallen from. My whole body ached especially my chin. I slowly pulled my hand up to gently touch my chin, wincing at the sudden pain and when I brought my hand up to my eyes I saw it was covered in blood. As I placed my hand down I gulped down a wave of panic.
I heard Amy calling out my name from above, "Jane! Jane!" her voice was horce with lack of food and water. But there was another sound a thud, thud! Getting louder and louder. I tried to get up but only succeeded in rolling over to face the sound... and that's when I saw it. It was a GIANT, green and brown peacock. When it came to me it stop.
'Great I'm going to become Peacock lunch,' I thought as the Peacock reached out his claw and picked me up. But instead of placing me in it's mouth it placed me on the dried grass next do Amy.
Then it just stood there. I was so hungry I wondered if you could eat peacock but as I looked up at Amy I saw that she was gaping and I realized why. The peacock was pooing out what looked like giant peas. When they hit the ground they didn't crack like eggs but bounced slightly and when one landed next to me I breathed in to see that they smelled like peas to. Then the Pea-cock looked down at us and trudged off into the grasslands.
