Silence.
The raging storm had stopped for the time being and everything was dead.
Literally.
She could hear blood, it was dripping off the edges of the retro red tables.
She could hear the wheezing of bloody bodies taking their last breaths.
Her irises scanned the premises and all that could be seen was crimson.
It dripped down the walls.
It slid off the bodies.
It bounced onto the floor.
If not for the colour, you could mistaken the blood for tears.
Tears that cried for help and attention.
The little sounds seemed to be taunting her.
This was her doing after all.
Her mind threw different words at her, words that implied their own sentences.
You need to run!
Get the fuck out of there!
Stay and wait!
They'll take you away!
She couldn't stop them, they were here to stay.
Standing up so immediately, her legs weren't willing to hold up the sudden weight she added on them so she plummeted back down to the ground.
Forcing herself up again after heaving a sigh, she dragged her zombie body out of the now abandoned café and down the empty alleyway.
This café was out of sight to the public and only the lucky people who stumbled across this beauty could enjoy and admire the place.
As the stonefaced girl exit the alleyway, she started to attract the attention of pedestrians who all moved feet and steps away from her.
What caught their eyes though?
Her disheveled hair?
The empty look on her face? The distant eyes?
Could it have been the fresh crimson on her clothes?
Or.. maybe it was the machine gun she had grasped in her right palm?
That was sure to grab eyes.

I should be revising.
