LET THE LITTLE CHILDREN COME TO ME

BY

JOY DESTINY

THIS BOOK IS DEDICATED

TO

JESUS CHRIST THE KING OF KINGS

AND THE LORD OF LORDS

AND TO

THE CHILDREN THE WORLD OVER

WHOM HE LOVES SO MUCH

Let the little children come to me,

Please do not forbid them,

Please do not stop them,

Please do not hide the truth about me from them.

Let the little children come to me,

Allow them to know me,

Allow them to love me freely- without fear,

Please do not deceive them or tell them lies- that I do not exist.

Please love these precious children as I do,

Open your door, open your home,

Share your food and share your drink,

For when you show kindness to least of my brothers,

That you have done unto Me.

Be an extension of My hands and be an extension of my arms:

When you show love to a child, you have shown love to Me,

When you feed a child, you have fed Me,

When you give a child a cup of water, you have quenched My thirst,

When you comfort a child, you have comforted Me,

When you wipe away their tears, you wipe away mine,

When you clothe a child, you clothe Me- you have taken away

My nakedness,

When you care for a child, you care for Me,

And when you take a child out of harms way, and the path of destruction,

My heart will sing for joy.

Once there were two boys who were friends, they played happily together

every day. One day, the two boys had a quarrel over a ball. Soon the quarrel

turned into a fight. One of the boys' mother saw what was going on and

rushed over. "How dare you? Don't push my son like that!"

But soon the other boys mother got wind of the fight and rushed over.

"How dare you shout at my son like that?" And at once, the two women

fought. They fought and tore their clothes. They would have

continued fighting all day long, if they had not heard something that

startled them- the sound of their children's voices, the sound of laughter.

The two boys had made up and were good friends again.

The two mothers let go of each other, dusted themselves and walked

away in shame. They had learnt a valuable lesson from their own children-

The lesson of forgiveness. Children forgive in an instant, and forget all

WRONGS.

Do you know that:

Adults teach children, and children can teach adults.

Children can learn from adults, and adults can learn from children.

Adults can impart wisdom to children, and children can impart wisdom to

adults.

Adults can care for children, and children can care for adults,

Adults can make children happy, and children can make adults happy.

For God uses the weak and foolish things of this world to confound

the wise.

If only, if only my people could slow down and stop to

Learn,

And to listen,

And to care,

And to share,

And to look deep into the eyes of these dear children,

They will see Me.
