Urgh that boy is annoying.
Wait you don't know who I'm talking about.
I am Aphrodite Lerman, yeah about my first name...
My parents met each other in this Classic Civilization class blah blah blah and decided that they should name me after their favourite Greek Goddess.
Me on the other hand didn't mind the name and thought it was pretty cool until Mr Nice Guy (note the sarcasm)at school started teasing me.
Nicholas aka Mr Nice Guy aka Nick aka the most annoying person known to existence. We go way back from when we were babies. Our mums were best friends and we would always see each other. We were best friends back then but when we came to high school, he became popular and changed. He began ignoring me, not replying to my texts and I decided I should move on.
I'm not going to be cliche and say I had no friends or I am very unpopular. I actually have a huge group of friends from both sexes and believe it or not we despise Mr Nice Guy.
****************
"For goodness sake Aphrodite! Just go ask him!" My mum yelled at me, in the car. I looked behind her at the group of boys from my school and leaned back in my chair.
"Nah I'm good, thanks." I replied, running my fingers down my tangled curly hair. "Why can't you go to him? You're the one who wants to ask the question not me." I retorted.
"But I can't go and talk to a group of teenage boys!" My mum replied, getting all flustered. I laughed on the inside, admiring my mum teenage attitude.
"Okay. I will go just this time and no more." I said, I can't reject my mum. I got out of the car and began to walk away from the Range Rover that my mum cared about so much. I looked back at her and saw myself.
We had the same dark, black curly hair, the same eyes, brown just like honey and the same smile. I was told many times that my smile could light up anything, and I remember telling them even your dark empty brain. Yeah, they didn't take that very well.
Sending the thoughts to the back of my brain, I continued walking to the group of boys. There he was, surround by people. His chestnut brown hair tousled, his green hazel eyes captivating you as soon as you look into them.
But they don't captivate me, I'm just mimicking what the girls in my school say about him.
"Nick, my mum wants to know if you can come for dinner?" I asked quite loudly, ignoring the boys stares apart from Nick. Nick was on his phone showing his friends something and looked up at me.
He began squinting his eyes at me and had a puzzled expression. I rolled my eyes in annoyance.
"Do I know you peasant?" He questioned, earning a hoard of laughter from his friends.
"Haha." I said dryly, walking to be right in front of Nick.
"Well, looks like I'm a bad peasant." I said and collided my fist with his face.
