"Hoy Althea! Matulog ka na! Aalis tayo ng 3am! Ako mag dadrive. I already booked the place for the shoot. Don't forget my ice cream!!!" Naka tanggap ng text message si Althea galing kay Jade. Kakatapos lang nito mag shower nang mag text si Jade.
She smiled then she replied at Jade. "Yes your majesty, ikaw din, matulog ka na din ng maaga. I don't want to die because of car crash. Goodnight."
"The fuck? Why am I smiling?" Althea asked herself. She ignored the happiness that was building inside of her.
She went to her room and went to a deep slumber.

Nagising si Jade at tinignan ang cellphone. 2:15am.
Tamad itong naupo sa kama at nag text kay Bea.
"Beatrice, i'm awake now. Don't worry i'll be fine. Goodmorning btw!" Jade sent the message.
Tumayo na ito at nag punta ng banyo para maligo.
"Gising na kaya si Althea?" Isip niya. "Aish, nevermind. I'll just knock later." Then she proceeded to take a bath.

After 30 minutes, Jade is ready to go. She wore a patterned dress and a sandals.
Her phone lit up so she picked up and saw Bea's reply.
"Okay, I'll be sending the team there. You can meet them when you arrive. Stay safe okay? Update me. Labyooo!"
Napangiti ito sa text ni Bea. Simple gestures from Bea is already enough to make Jade smile. After all, she's her bestfriend.
Kinuha na nito ang bag at lumabas sa loob ng kanyang dorm, nagulat ito ng makita si Althea na nakatayo sa harap ng kanyang pinto habang may earphones sa tenga nito. She's wearing a white skirt, denim jacket and a denim high waisted shorts.
"Bakit ang tagal mo?" Tanong ni Althea habang tinatanggal ang earphone sa kaliwang tenga.
"Because I'm a girl? Duh." Jade rolled her eyes and walked to the elevator and Althea followed her.
"Akala ko natutulog ka pa eh." Sabi ni Jade.
"Nah, I'm excited for today." Althea smiled widely.
"Why?" Jade asked then her eyebrows furrowed.
"Because you'll tour me! You didn't say anything about the place!" Althea pouted.
Cute. Jade thought.
"It's a surprise." Jade winked and went to the elevator together with Althea.

"Hey, stupid! Wake up." Jade was trying to wake Althea up.
"Nandito na ba tayo?" Tumingin si Althea sa paligid at nakitang madilim pa din.
"Wala pa. Gutom ka na ba? Kasi kung hindi, bibili lang ako ng food ko don." Itinuro ni Jade and isang convinient store sa harap nila.
"Coffee na lang." Sagot ni Althea.
"Okay, wait here." Jade smiled.
Para namang naka dikit ang mga mata ni Althea kay Jade habang nag lalakad ito papunta sa convinient store. Hindi maintindihan ni Althea ang pakiramdam sa tuwing ngumingiti si Jade sa kanya. Hindi rin alam ni Althea kung bakit ba siya excited sa pupuntahan nila. Althea doesn't know why she's happy when Jade's happy. Althea doesn't know why she's happy to be with Jade.
Lahat ng iniisip niya ay nawala ng naka balik na si Jade sa kanilang sasakyan.
"Here." Jade handed the coffee to Althea.
"T-thanks." She stuttered. What the fuck?
Marahan namang natawa si Jade. "Stupid." Then she drove.
"Ibaba natin yung bintana." Suhestiyon ni Althea. "I want some fresh air."
"Me too." So Jade turned the windows down.
"Oh, I'll play a song!" Althea said while browsing to her playlist. It was on shuffle and she played it.
She sipped her coffee and the music played.
I look at her and have to smile
As we go driving for a while
Her hair blowing in the open window of my car
And as we go the traffic lights
I watch them glimmer in her eyes
In the darkness of the evening
Bigla namang nasamid si Althea sa kapeng iniinom nito at nanlaki ang mga mata. "The hell? W-why is this p-playing?" Althea said. She was about to skip the song when Jade stopped her.
"No, don't skip. That's my favorite song." Jade protested.
She was about to protest when Jade started singing the chorus.

Tumingin si Jade kay Althea at ngumiti. Para namang sasabog ang puso ni Althea. Hindi niya inakalang may maganda itong boses. She had a goosebumps while still listening to Jade sing.
We stop to get something to drink
My mind clouds and I can't think
Scared to death to say I love her
Then the moon peeks from the clouds
Hear my heart it speaks so loud
Tryin' to tell her simply

Jade sang while her left arms were swaying outside the car.
Althea smiled at the view so she opened her camera and took a pic of this moment.
Beautiful. Althea said to herself.
Hindi na rin nito napigilan at sumabay na rin ng pag kanta kay Jade.
Jade turned her gaze at her with a widened eyes but Althea just smiled and continue to sing.

"T-thanks. You're voice is amazing also." Althea blushed.
"So, I think we're close now aren't we?" Jade chuckles.
"Yeah? Sure. I didn't know you're easy person." Althea said.
"Nah, just trying to protect myself. You know? If you're too nice, people will hurt you. Pinoprotektahan ko lang yung sarili ko." Sabi ni Jade. "I didn't expect that we'll click." Dagdag pa ni Jade.
"Yeah. Ako rin eh. The first day. Damn. Tinawag mo akong animal." Tumawa si Althea at tumawa na din si Jade.
The drive was a comfortable and a happy ride for the both of them.
