Fuck Liam!" She screams making Liam jump back."You're not supposed to do it. You're supposed to scream and tell me to get the hell out of your house. You're supposed to break up with me you stupid fuck."

Liam's taken back but he can't be more relieved. He was that close to snorting cocaine. How long he had been told about not doing drugs and that it was going to screw up his life. He had so much going for him and he was going to throw that all away just for her.

She had stopped him though, even refused to let him go through with it. Louis was wrong Alex did feel something for him. She just had no idea how to express it. Like he said before he knew she had been hurt badly in the past, he just wasn't aware of how much. Maybe she just didn’t know how to love?

"Alex," he whispered out her name, while standing up slowly as if not to scare her. She reminded him of a frightened puppy he once had when he was younger."I am going to hold you now, okay." He tells her.

She shakes her head as she holds her hands up in front of her."Don't you fucking touch me Liam!" she yells while he inches closer.

This time he's not bending to her every wish. He's going to do something that she doesn't want but needs. When he gets close enough she tries to make a run for it, Liam easily catches her. She struggles against him when he pulls her to his chest.

"Liam. Get. Off."

"Alex shut up." Liam snaps, finally losing his patience for the first time. Her struggling stops and Liam just holds her tighter to his chest. The only thing that fills the silence is their raged breathing, from the struggle.

Liam hopes he's not pushing her past her limits. He just wants to be there for her, when she clearly needs someone. He wants to be that someone. He wants to hold her when she needs to be held. He wants to make her smile when she's feeling sad. He just wants to be with her.

Then the silence breaks with her sobs as she curls into his chest. For the first time she's actually ready to let go.
